I would have thought this would be the one team the Caps play where Caps fans on both sides of the aisle (Capsareawesome/Capsareterrible) could just cheer against the *other* team.

nothing official on green either. its just common sense, bud. this team doesnt clarify these things. whyno's tweets say green absent "as expected" and then backstrom absent "not a surprise". if you disagree, its ok with me. just say so. the rest isnt necessary.

They seem to really like puck moving defensemen with an offensive edge.

not really an endorsement of erskine either. its ugly for both of them. orlov and tk are going to make for an interesting view. vokoun(or whoever the goalies is...no announcement has been made and its unclear who the starter will be.....bdf....is that better?) is going to have an interesting time when they are on the ice

I think Erskine is still struggling with the shoulder, so him getting a scratch isnt that big a deal to me. Plus he's a 6th or 7th d man anyways.

i think its mobility. hunter wants to play man to man and a defenseman has to be able to chase the forwards and keep up to play man to man.

Orlov Kundratek pairing .... on paper that's scary seeing the two paired together.

Of note, Orlov and Kundratek only played in the same Hershey game once this season on 11/13 vs Bridgeport.

I was thinking maybe they'd pair Kundratek with Hamrlik for the vet/rookie pairing plus the Czech aspect.

Kundratek is Czech so should help in terms of goalie/dman communications, one would hope.
