Why Price and not Anderson in the Allstar game?

Anderson should have been added.

saskriders 01-14-2012 08:30 PM

Slow start and no other Canadiens

edit: you made me type this and not see the goal

Id take Price 10 times out of 10 over Andy. He's the only reason they aren't the worst team in the league.

That's your homer speaking in you.

In truth, people should be taking Price over Anderson 11/10.

Haha at first I thought you misread my post.

Andersson has been actually struggling until these last few weeks. He sure is raking up the wins now...23 and counting now!

If Andersson was playing all season the way he is playing the last few weeks, Sens fans would have voted him in outright.

Stylizer1 01-14-2012 09:11 PM

Why didn't the league put him on the team? Each month his numbers have been improving and is the reason for our success. I'm sure there are a few of players who had slow starts and still made it.

His "slow" start consisted of a below .900 save percentage.

I don't care who you are, you're not going to an all-star game with those numbers. Sorry Reimer.

ClubSandwiches 01-14-2012 09:13 PM

LOL cause he hasn't had the best season so far and we already have five freaking players at this event.

ChocolateLeclaire 01-14-2012 09:26 PM

I'd pick Anderson 11 times out of 10 over "All-start" Brian Elliott. My numbers would be amazing in Hitch's system too.

Alfredsson11 01-14-2012 09:30 PM

Price should be there

he was doing it pre-hitch.

Exactly. Whether or not his number would have stayed the same is debatable, but the fact is he was playing like an all-star prior to Hitch's arrival.

Gil Gunderson 01-14-2012 09:57 PM

Because Price is a top-5 goalie in the league.

BonkTastic 01-14-2012 10:10 PM

Because Montreal has to send SOMEONE to the ASG.

Really? He had a very good season last year under Martin but this season his loss count should come into play regardless of the other stats.

Altimus 01-14-2012 10:24 PM

I would love to have Price in Ottawa *eleventy billion. He is an amazing goalie.

I've watched a lot of Elliott's work this year, and I think his numbers look good but St. Louis plays a very structured system and he rarely gets tested the way Anderson does by this team.

Good on Elliott but if he was playing here, his numbers would be in the toilet. Just my opinion though.

Have you watched the Habs play this season? He's the only reason why they're not getting blown out in most games.

could you not say that about Anderson?

Not really, no. We've won games where he wasn't that great. He's still on a hot streak at the moment as well.

TSA0402 01-14-2012 11:53 PM

When you look at Montreal's team, they really aren't a formidable group. On a very good day, they are average. They just hit a couple hot streaks in the playoffs and got exceptional goaltending and luck for two years and people wrongfully pencilled them in as contenders.

Price is doing everything in his power to offset that, except that he isn't Dominik Hasek.

Neil Patrick Harris 01-15-2012 12:11 AM

Why not just make it NHL Stars vs. Sens?

I can't believe I have to say this again. Not every Senator can be in the ASG!
