Watch for Gomez breakout!

One Man Rock Band 01-15-2012 09:18 AM

Bourque with the hatty, Budaj with the shutout and a new goalie thread started directly after the game. :sarcasm:

VAN-HAB 01-15-2012 09:29 AM

Emelin playing tonight? Does anyone know?

Boone said that Gomez was laughing on the bench during the shootout or was it after the game? If that is true, was he trying to keep the team loose or was he not taking the game seriously.

In any case, I didn't think he played badly against the Sens but I would like to see Bourque with Pleks and Blunden with Gomer on a line with Nokelainen and Darche... and only 6 defensemen dressed.

hope campoil is not playing

oleHABSole* 01-15-2012 10:28 AM

Damn Rangers alway scome out like a beast against us, just pure pressure and attack. Habs really have start going for it and make things happen. 5 more loses to the record I'm jumping on the tankwagon, gonna really cheer for them to lose games (weird).

WhiskeySeven 01-15-2012 10:28 AM

We've got to score some damn goals.

I hate how they practise like that with nonchalant effort, it just hurts their game in the end...

This is going to be tough to watch... I'm just looking forward to watching Bourque play, because I just can't see the Canadiens winning this one.

Hugo Sham 01-15-2012 10:46 AM

i don't care where the rangers are...this team just doesn't look that scary
Carl Hagelin-Brad Richards-Ryan Callahan
Derek Stepan-John Mitchell-Marian Gaborik
Ruslan Fedotenko-Brian Boyle-Brandon Prust
Mike Rupp-Artem Anisimov-Wojtek Wolski

Ryan McDonagh-Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto-Anton Stralman
Marc Staal-Anton Stralman

Henrik Lundqvist
Marty Biron

they play as a team, they are tough and the guys that are paid to have great years are. coaching is a big part of it. we're not that far from the rangers talent wise, but we have **** chemistry

They have a lot of good players, solid everywhere but nobody outstanding except for their goalie. And well coached of course Lundqvist somehow gets better with age.

Still, it's interesting that the two best teams in the east this year go for more balance than top heavy attacks.

I would call Richards (even though he's having a so-so season), Gaborik (he's going to net 40+ goals this season) and Marc Staal outstanding players.

But they are more balanced than top-heavy, I'll give you that.

Viggo Mortensen 01-15-2012 11:09 AM

Clearly the Habs are in tank mode, putting Budaj vs the #1 in the East!

GeneralMarky79 01-15-2012 11:12 AM

Im already on the Tankwagon...seriously would you rather us lose in the 1st round this year and get a garbage pick? or keep losing and get a very good top 5 pick?

Krnage 01-15-2012 11:13 AM

Gomez goes for 51 :yo:

ThaDevilGirl 01-15-2012 11:17 AM

Lundqvist at the Bell Center? 6-1 Habs.

+1, nothing against Budaj though, but he is not our #1 guy.

Our PP will need to be highly effective tonight, otherwise, I do not see how....

Em Ancien 01-15-2012 11:20 AM

McDonagh...:shakehead

What a blunder.
