Voted for Lindberg because he's playing in the SEL (conditioning stint notwithstanding).

Add Stajcer. He's having a good season in juniors, even though he's an overager.

McColgan... add the goalie with over a .910 save pct in the AHL.

nyr2k2 01-21-2012 01:30 AM

McColgan, Stajcer.

McColgan. Johnson.

Know a lot of people don't like Chad but he's a fairly decent AHL goalie with a little bit of NHL experience. Stajcer for me it's hard to tell. An overeager in the OHL and he doesn't seem to stay in the lineup enough.

Jxmarts 01-21-2012 05:42 AM

Add Scott Stajcer... after him the pickings are getting mighty slim.

I voted for Noreau... needs to work on his skating, but he's a big, tough defenseman who's showing that he's serious about improving his game & is not just a goon. Ceresnak is not far behind.

McColgan is simply not producing enough to overcome his size limitations. He reminds me of Ryan Russell from a few years back. Nice junior player, but no more than a journeyman minor leaguer as a pro.

Mcolgan. Add whoever. Pashnin.

McColgan again

Stajcer again

Funny how ESQ says Stajcer is "even though an overager", yet Yogan is and he's not dominating junior :sigh:

This based on talent.

Why was this poll started just 12 hours/37 votes after the last one, especially when the last one was still so close?

Cynical TyranT 01-21-2012 05:35 PM

Lindberg. Pashnin.

He is a 91, so he is an overager for this season.

I am pretty sure it's not based on the birth year. It's b ased on whether you start the season at the age of 19 or 20. His was born in December 1991, so he only turned 20 almost midway through the season.

It's how old you are on a specific date - I think maybe Sept. 1? In any event, Stajcer was draft eligible in '09 and Yogan (a December birthday) in '10.

It's different for draft eligibility & the option to play in juniors as an overager.

For the draft, you must be at least 18 on September 15 of your draft year. That is, if you were born on September 16, 1993, you wouldn't have been eligible for the 2011 draft.

For overage staus, if you will turn 20 at any time during the same year as the start of the season, and you play junior, you're considered overage. That is if the season starts in September 2011 & you're born in 1991, you're overaged... even if you were born on Decemeber 31, 1991. Junior teams are limited to 3 overage players.
