Paul Stastny to Montreal!
What would it take to get Statsny on the Habs? Would a deal surrounding P.K Subban work?
|
Pacioretty
|
Subban is a good player but the Avs don't need D.. As the guy above posted it would probably take a forward you guys are not willing to move. The Habs and the Avs really are just not that great of trading partners because you guys don't have high end wingers to burn.
I would love Max Pac but I am not going to pretend Montreal would even think about trading him. That is exactly the player we would ask for though. Like with Columbus we would be after Nash for Stastny+. The point is we would be after a star winger not a package of players and picks. Besides the habs need to rebuild not trade for established players that cost you the farm or guys you should be building around like Max and PK. |
Gionta + Louis L. + Gill

But why bring lotsa salary again :( Brian gionta+kaberle+Leblanc for Stasny I know you guys need to resign Duchene and all but... im not seeing anyone has a cap dump in Colorado. |
One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Stastny and Matt Hunwick for Andrei Kostitsyn and PK Subban sounds somewhat appealing.

no we give you plekanec ! Subban will stay a hab for long.

Colorado is not going to take on bad contracts for Stastny. They are in the middle of playoff contention at the moment, what possible justification could the Avs have to make a bad trade?
Stastny only has two years remaining on his deal, and his salary will likely be rolled back with a new CBA. |
I'd be interested in Gionta depending what his price was, unfortunately I don't think a deal could be worked out both teams like, because it certainly won't involve Stastny or another highly valued player.

Pacioretty or 2012 1st + Subban
for Paul Stasny Montreal- if u dont like it u dont get Stastny |

don`t want him.
And come on guys. Poeple say we overrate our guys. Would any of you trade us Landeskog/Johnson + 1st for Plekanec ? didn't think so. If Stastny is moved, he'll fetch a descent return....but not as good as that last guy was hoping for |
COLORADO ----> BOURQUE - ELLER - 2ND 2012 ( 35 to 37)
MONTREAL ----> STATSNY |

Stastny won't fetch Max/PK and a 1st given that MTL's 1st could be very high. |
Gomez

If your going to talk about trades between the two teams. A realistic trade based on team needs is probably Avs 2nd for Kostitsyn. We do need a gritty second line winger that can score actually. When Duchene comes back we might be looking to build another line like Kosty Duchene Mueller allowing Galiardi Stastny Jones to happen so we can roll 4 lines hopefully getting us into the playoffs. Talking Staz and Max Pac will just be fun for one side and not the other depending on the trade proposed. Which makes it pointless.. We don't have the assets you guys would want to give up Max. How would you like Jones/Quincey + Barrie + 2nd 2012 or 1st 2013? |

Why would Mtl need Stastny unless they move Plekanec? Just play Lars Eller more, he deserves it based on how he looks. Plekanec, Eller, Desharnais, Gomez, Leblanc...that's 5 centres. None of them are true first line centres and Stastny isn't either tbh. He's not consistent enough and we call him Casper Stastny for a reason.
If they trade for Stastny then they'd end up with two 1A centres and two 2nd line centres (Eller and Desharnais) plus a potential 2nd line C (LeBlanc) + Gomez (who isn't really as bad as everyone says despite the lack of goals, played well tonight). Seems like a stupid move, they need a winger and another Josh Gorges to help out Subban since Gill's gone downhill. |

Lars Eller 2012 1st round pick :habs Paul Stastny Maybe a mid-round-pick to even things out? Don't know. Doesn't work salary wise anyways, so flame away :D Quote:
