NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

You definitely want to make them pay for it. You want to score and make the penalty count, so Mac’s not taking that hit for nothing.
- Ryan Callahan

We played a hard 60 minutes. I think it was good hockey game. We talked about it after the second period, we have to be strong. And we were. We deserved those two points.
- Marian Gaborik

Well, we played hard. It was a game of momentum. Momentum shifted back and forth. I thought both teams gave up probably more chances than both wanted to.
We found a way to win a hockey game.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

Net Front Presence 01-23-2012 11:47 PM

Get the two points. Enjoy the week off.

Dubinsky with the GWG.

PromNite 01-23-2012 11:59 PM

Skate hard, shoot often and we win this one.

NickyMaz 01-23-2012 11:59 PM

I got a feeling Biron will get the start for this one. I'm predicting a 4-1 win with goals by Gaborik and Dubinsky.

Draft Guru 01-24-2012 12:08 AM

Would be nice for Richie to bury one so he can go into the break feeling a bit more relaxed

WalterHeisenberg 01-24-2012 12:11 AM

buff and kane are out...we should take this game LGR!

Not to mention that WPG played tonight too and lost to Carolina.

I see the game is on MSG2 also. Guess the ****** Knicks take priority over the first place Rangers playing a home game. Doesn't make a difference to me since I have Cablevision and will get the game in HD anyway but it sucks for everyone else. Whichever team is home that night should get the main network.

NYRSchrute217 01-24-2012 12:19 AM

Probably will be Biron, let's get the 2 points. 66 points into the break sounds awfully nice.

Fitzy 01-24-2012 12:23 AM

Oh is that why we get a week off? Because of the all star game?

This game personifies a beatable team, game in which we need to not loosen up right before a layoff.

Pizza 01-24-2012 12:28 AM

Get the points. Just get the points.

A week off to rest the dings will be good for the boys.

Rangerfan4life90 01-24-2012 02:58 AM

Give Biron the start. Hank played a lot last week and he deserves to rest for a week and a half.

I'll also be going to this game with my Dad

LGR!!!

Kane One 01-24-2012 03:51 AM

LGR! I'll be at this game so hopefully Lundqvist starts. Why would we start Biron? We have a week off... No need to start him.

AJRanger 01-24-2012 07:42 AM

I'd be disappointed if this didn't end in a regulation win, the Jets really aren't much of a threat without Buff and Kane. In previous seasons these are the kinds of games the Rangers wouldn't win, but this season...

darko 01-24-2012 07:45 AM

Lets make it 2 wins in a row for the first time in 2 weeks.

LGR

I have DirecTV and get MSG2 in HD.

Lundqvist doesn't have a week off. He's gonna be bombarded by media for 4 days in Ottawa this weekend. I would play Biron against a slumping Winnipeg team that played last night and is missing arguably their two best players.

Gotta take 2 points tonight to stay ahead of the pack in the Atlantic. NO EXCUSES!

UAGoalieGuy 01-24-2012 08:15 AM

I'd like to see Biron get that start. Pretty much gives Lundqvist a week off, except for facing a dozen or so shots in the skills competition and playing a period in the ASG. Have Lundqvist play against the Debbies next Tuesday fresh.

I'm predicting a 4 - 2 win. Gaborik, Richards, Hagelin, and Dubinsky.

Amazing Kreiderman 01-24-2012 08:18 AM

I am predicting a win, but no goals for Gaborik. I think Hagelin gets a goal and Anisimov gets 2.

3-0 win with a shutout for Biron

Vitto79 01-24-2012 08:39 AM

yea i'm fine with Biron since Hank has the All Star game..........should win since Peg is hurt

I hope so... Artie needs to start contributing.

Swept In Seven 01-24-2012 08:45 AM

Lets get another W here. LGR!

CHS 01-24-2012 08:46 AM

Brad Richards on the third line. I guess it was only a matter of time the way he's been playing but I'd rather let Anisimov have a shot with Dubinsky and Callahan than Boyle. Have we seen the pack line together this season?

Glennsoe 01-24-2012 08:54 AM

4-1...

AA with 2 and Feds with 2...

blue425 01-24-2012 09:07 AM

A chance to have 66 points on January 24th?
Am I dreaming?

Got get 'em.

Dorado* 01-24-2012 09:18 AM

Can firstrow live sports be streamed on iPhone/iPad ?

Dorado* 01-24-2012 09:20 AM

Wade Richards has been sucking but playing him with stone hands twins is no way to elevate his game .
