Your Defensive D-man to Ottawa.

At the trade deadline we in Ottawa could use a good stay at home d-man (but he should also be able to move the puck as we are built head to toe as a transition team). I think if we do make a move this will be the move that we make, either that or for a veteran top-6 forward.

What would Leopold cost? What if he was packaged with Boyes?

ArrogantOwl 02-01-2012 11:58 AM

Pronger, he's really good at sitting at home and moving the puck. :shakehead

What would Scott Hannan cost?

Mrb1p 02-01-2012 12:05 PM

Hal Gill :sarcasm:

You're sarcastic, but that's actually not a bad idea. I love watching Gill in the playoffs and he's pretty much the kind of guy we need.

I think Allen, Hannan and Grossman sort of fit your criteria.

I could see Carolina looking for a 2nd and a B prospect for Allen

Hannan for a 2nd, or a 3rd and a B/C+ prospect

Grossan for a 2nd - maybe a 2nd and a C+/C prospect

Iamok 02-01-2012 12:09 PM

* Should be a RD.

He'll get more then that - Andrew Alberts got a 3rd

Hannan's pretty solid and playing over 20 mins a night in Cow Town right now

The Podium 02-01-2012 12:11 PM

Make it a 4th and we'll pay for the pizza.

SpezDispenser 02-01-2012 12:49 PM

Hannan would do well.

Hannan has actually been pretty good in CGY. If flames die out of the playoff race over the next couple weeks, he would likely be available. Someone suggested he could be had for a 5th, but price will likely go up by deadline, plus for what he can do, the higher cost would possibly be realistic. I'm thinking third rounder or a decent prospect.

The Canucks will give you superstar Andrew Alberts for Chris Neil and Erik Karlsson.

Lee's not consistent enough to be a top 4. But in principle, I agree.

ChrisKreider20 02-01-2012 01:20 PM

Kshahdoo 02-01-2012 01:27 PM

As far as I remember Pens fans aren't too keen on Martin...

MAK19 02-01-2012 01:46 PM

Are Tyutin, Lydman and Pitkanen realistic options or are they not available?
