Midget AAA Playoffs

Predictions for the upcoming Quebec midget AAA playoffs?

I think CAG have all the elements needed to push through.

mmfhockey 02-06-2012 11:17 AM

Blondin will win

The most complete team is College Esther-Blondin ...they will win the playoffs .

They will be a better rep. for the league at the Telus Cup.

At Antoine-Girouard their goalies saved them the whole year ....you need more then that...they lost one goalie to the Q.

.

CEB -Great coaching and top 3 talent.
CAG- Very solid goaltending and depth.

Mise au jeu would be close but I'll still take CAG

YES they have a better goalie but depth is a big word......

and in a series with CEB I think CAG dont have enough

You said it top 3 talents and more thats why they will win.

I'm not saying CAG is not good but it should be a good one if they both

reach the finals...

$2 on CEB :)

If Drouin and Cortese were still with LSL id say them..... But it's obviously going to be CEB they're loaded.

Atlantic Midget Playoffs

Cornwall and Moncton should represent PEI and NB respectively at the Atlantics...toss up in NFLD between the Leafs and Privateers....But can any of them get by Halifax^

They're good but I think they lack team cohesion. In a series the tighter team will take it.

I haven't seen CEB live but I will say team cohesion is something the Gaulois have, I wasn't overly impressed with their skill, but teamplay they can go toe to toe with anyone.

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THEM LIVE...:shakehead HOW COULD YOU SAY THEY HAVE NO COHESION....

LSL EVEN WITH DROUIN AND CORTESE THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH TO BEAT CEB IN A SERIES ...

..

Only one team from the PEI/NB league Midget AAA league goes to the Atlantics. That team will join the winner of the NSMMHL playoffs, the host NFLD team, and the winner of the NFLD league (likely the Privateers).

My guess is Moncton, Halifax, SJ Privateers, and SJ Leafs. I assume that one of the Leafs or the Privateers are the host.

localfan 02-07-2012 10:48 AM

The Leafs are hosting this year...

Im not the one who said they didnt have the coheision, re-read the posts.

And LSL with Drouin. And Cortese could have taken down CEB dont kid yourself, Drouin made that team so much better then it was.

Unless it has changed since last year, the two PEI teams face off and the winner goes to Atlantics, while the NB teams face off in a 2 round, first-to-8 playoffs.

PG 02-07-2012 07:38 PM

That is correct - after the league wraps up, the four NB teams playoff (1st plays 4th, 2nd plays 3rd, and the winners play for the NB title)......The two PEI teams play a best of seven for their provincial title

Quebec playoffs won't include the bottom 3 teams and the top 4 get a bye for the first round. The first round should be a tough battle. All the teams are very evenly matched. It'll be interesting.

The last weekend(FEB 10-12) will determine who will make it but as of right now CCL and Laval/Mtl are out. St Eustache, Chateauguay and Gatineau are battling for the last spot with Gatineau on the outside looking in. The byes go to the top 4 teams. CAG, CEB, TR and LSL with TR battling SSF for the division title and first round bye.

Some very good hockey is around the corner.

You will be seule. They will playing Vikings. Vikings do need 1 point to be in the play offs. They should do this and maybe more :)

Lions do play nervous and do play on the heals (talons) to not make erreurs. Vikings do play hard to the puck in the zone offensive and this does will make the D of Lions give the puck. We will see.

My team for surprise is Amos. They do have a solid team A-Z. If the little D Fiset can will play for the play offs it can will be a big difference.

CEB is the team with the more talent. I did see them 3 times in the January. They did start to trap on the fore check. Darveau is the better goaleur that I did see for the last weeks. The offensive is solid. The PP is not strong and can will be to improve. The team is now more discipline. The bigger question is to be the defensive. It gives too much the puck in the zone neutre.

This is my opinion :)

BLBarmada 02-10-2012 11:38 AM

Lol my bad I though they were playing Chateauguy.

RJQuack 02-10-2012 02:00 PM

I pick the Halifax Titans :yo:

Hockey Buff 02-13-2012 08:32 AM

Round 2

Round 2 of the Quebec playoffs start tonight. Any predictions?

CEB vs Amos
CAG vs Magog
LSL vs SSF
TR vs CND

hound27 02-24-2012 10:23 AM

NSMMHL Round 2

Round one is complete in NS. South Shore, Cole Harbour, CB West, and CB Tradesmen eliminated. Too bad for South Shore and Cole Harbour both teams had strong seasons, CH finished the 2nd half with a lot of wins. Congratulations to the CB teams who pushed Hfx and Dartmouth and made a tough series.

Round 2 - Halifax Titans vs Valley Wildcats
and Dartmouth Midgets vs Pictou County Weeks
