Andrew Murray on waivers.

Fun fact of the day. We are the only team without, at least, 20 wins. We have 14. We are also the only team without 10 home wins. At this rate every team in the league will soon have more wins at home than we have total.
More fun is the league worst team +/- of minus 5.

1857 Howitzer 02-07-2012 11:43 AM

The Jackets are giving STHs 4 tickets to a Cavs or Monsters game.

Strange that they would give tix away from another team's minor league affilate. Is this common?

Dan Gilbert owns both franchises, which is probably the reason why.

Jackets' current record: 14-32-6, or 34 points.

At this point in 2000-01: 17-26-5-4, or 43 points

At this point in 2001-02: 14-30-7-1, or 36 points.

Just throwin' it out there.

That would be it. I would guess a similar offer will be given to Cavs SHTs too.

So I noticed...

I wasn't sure where to post this... but I imagine it will end up wherever it should go eventually.

I was watching the NHL Skills Competition last night, because I haven't had a chance to yet, and I noticed this. I don't remember ever seeing any posts about it or anything... but figured I would share.

I was going to call it "CBJ Snub" or "Someone's Dreaming?"... either way, I found this comical and not sure how many people actually caught this.

I love how everyone gets an NHL logo... and RyJo gets an Islanders logo. LoL!

blahblah 02-09-2012 02:58 PM

Isn't that the Islanders logo? Hilarious.

BluejacketNut 02-09-2012 03:21 PM

I had saw that when they showed it.....just laughed

Robert 02-09-2012 03:26 PM

Good catch BJFan1..... only the Jackets get so lucky...:sarcasm:

Remember this from last year?

From today's puck-rakers:

Quote:

G Steve Mason will serve as Sanford's back-up for the fourth straight game tonight. Asked if he had a moment to chat, Mason said: "Not really, to tell you the truth," and kept walking out of the dressing room. OK, then.
Wonder how much time he'll give the press in the AHL? :sarcasm:

Ha, someday he'll be begging people to ask him questions about the day he ran a franchise into the ground.

Makes sense. Guess I'm just not used to seeing that logo on national TV :dunno:

Mason got new pads again Tuesday. When we finally do get rid of him he could go into business selling his old goalie gear.

From Lori Schmidt's blog:

"I asked James Wisniewski tonight about the struggle to find motivation during what’s become a lost season for the Columbus Blue Jackets. He answered that it was no struggle at all.

'We’re men. We have a lot of pride. Call it that if anything. We don’t want to be embarrassed. I don’t want to go home in the summertime and [be asked] ‘Who do you play for?’ and say “the Columbus Blue Jackets” and get laughed at. That’s not something I signed up for.'

To be clear, Wiz was not saying that the Blue Jackets are chuckle worthy. He was saying they would become a punchline if they simply gave up at this point, and he doesn’t see that happening."

Gotta love the Wiz!

Dispatch is starting to work the "keep Richards" angle.

http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/conte...-richards.html

I do like this quote from Vinny, and it's something many here should consider:

Quote:

“It’s a process, it takes time,” forward Vinny Prospal said. “I guess the right word is patience. It’s something in our sport or any business, you’re not going to change the culture overnight.”

BluejacketNut 02-13-2012 08:05 AM

It doesnt matter who you have serving the food when the cook (Howson) doesnt know how to cook

I think there's a better chance that Howson, Priest, Nash, Carter, and Mason will all be back, next season, than Richards is retained.

blahblah 02-13-2012 08:36 AM

I'll care about Richards conversation when I see what happens between the end of the season and the draft. But I will say that any head coach that is resistant to use Nash on the PK already has a mark against him with me.

Probably true, but would disagree with about Mason, think he's gone
