Louis Leblanc

Who else is loving Louis Leblanc and what he brings to the future of this team right now? Great vision and a very smart hockey player at such a young age. I like what I see.

Andy 02-07-2012 08:05 PM

He's ridiculous. What a smart hockey player.

nahh he's just a 3rd line grinder of the future. :sarcasm:

KadrüH 02-07-2012 08:25 PM

I still don't like the fact that he's playing with the Canadiens already. Yeah he has the talent to play but he needs a year in the AHL.
Plus he could race for the Calder next year!

Best prospect we have. Timmins does it again. What a smart player.

In this case, it's more because of public pressure. They had no choice but to draft him.

Don't think so. They didn't crack with Esposito or others.

JohnLennon 02-07-2012 09:19 PM

I think it's fairly common for a rookie to play well during his first stint with the big club. Until we see this on a consistent basis, it's not a huge deal. But it is still very encouraging.

Yeah cause they always draft Quebecers and the talk shows never have anything to complain about. :sarcasm::laugh:

The draft isn't in Montreal every year like it was in 09. Not that I don't think LL was the right pick.

Kimota 02-07-2012 09:23 PM

I like him but let's not go overboard.

Agreed. However, you do have to admit he's a good complimentary player or at least has the makings of one. I think playing in 5 leagues in 4 years with 5 dif coaches and 5 different systems and managing to be a good player shows his level of intelligence and ability to adapt.

Ah, just have a little fun. Hart in '17. Selke in '23.

Jack Bourdain 02-07-2012 09:29 PM

He's going to be a 40-40-80 pts player.

Good, now he's officially overrated.

Protest the Hero 02-07-2012 09:29 PM

He's playing himself onto starting spot on the third line next season, depending on who we keep anyway.

Sandvich 02-07-2012 09:30 PM

Our Quebecois Higgins !!!

Which is great if he can emulate Higgins success during his first couple seasons as a Hab.

Next year our top 3 center should be:

Leblanc
DD
Eller

Aspirine 02-07-2012 09:38 PM

First round pick. Check.
NHL material. Check.
Creates chances. Check.
Scores. Check.
Is bawse. Check.

Smart as hell.

His hockey sense is pretty developped at his age, his compete level, his anticipation, his accurate read of the play.

I'd like to see him dominate the AHL though, but he's been very impressive so far. Dude has some swag, scores his first goal like not a single **** was given.

A la cammalleri.

Mrb1p 02-07-2012 09:42 PM

Needs weight.

Before he puts 20 pounds on this little body i don't like it.

Damn does this guy has eyebrows.

Good player tho.

We need to trade one of our center. Unless Leblanc is going to play wing.
Or desharnais ?
