SCHEDULE
November 11: Sweden vs. Russia
November 12: Sweden vs. Czech Republic
November 13: Sweden vs. Finland
------------
What I like:
- Goaltending (Heino looks really good with Hammarby)
- Offensive defensemen: Fransson, Hedman, Strålman
- First line with great chemistry: Videll-Söderberg-Fredriksson

What I don't like
- Lack of really physical defensemen: Grossman, and to some extent Granath. I wished there were more strong, physical defensemen.. especially when playing the NA teams
- Depth among centers: enough said
- The fact that Svanberg made the team

Not sure
- No pure, hardworking role players like Filip Hollström.

Didn't Bendelin test out Gustav Engman in one tournament? Maybe he'll be considered when the roster is to be announced. Haven't heard any report of his play from Canada though, but he at least plays as a regular. He is used to the smaller surface, and he likes to use his body.

Considering that they will play on small rinks in NA this year, it is rather strange that a physical d-man like Karlsson is left off the roster.

had he played senior hockey his chances would have been greater. There are about 12-13 defensemen fighting to make the team and Edler is among the last ones unfortunately.

I hope he atleast gets invited to the training camp so he can show them his skills and maybe open up some eyes. Eventhough by the sounds of it his chances aren't great, I'm still hopeful since there is always some surprise picks, and you never know with their selection progress. Atleast Edler will be on next years team

Is there a chance that Edler gets called up to Modo anytime soon?

I think he will definately will be in JWC team next year. Its unfortunate that he didn´t arrive to MODO a year earlier, so he could build up his physique and then he would have been loaned out to allsvenskan probably. Because he is dominating in the J20 league now. Next year I think he has the chance to be a lock for the JWC-team.

If Edler continues to display this kind of play, its possible that he will be called up. But a couple of players on defense has to be injured before that happens.
