Vladimir Sobotka with disappointing weak love tap to Joe Thornton.

Bonus video of Sobe's wicked slappah to head of Neimi :yo:

Moore Money 02-12-2012 08:40 PM

it was a nice hit but destroyed him? I think not.

Anchor Town 02-12-2012 08:41 PM

Well that was disappointing

Sojourn 02-12-2012 08:41 PM

That's definitely not "destroying him" but it's a solid hit, just the same.

When you get taken completely off your skates at full speed into the boards hard by a guy a lot smaller than you, that's getting destroyed.

Or should I relabel it a love tap to Joe?

No, you are wrong.

Hooch314 02-12-2012 08:42 PM

Someone delete this thread.

It's impressive because of the 6 inch height and 40 pound weight difference but it wasn't destruction.

SHAR KS 02-12-2012 08:42 PM

How is that destroying?

Fred Murtz 02-12-2012 08:44 PM

Relabled to Love Tap.

mcleex 02-12-2012 08:45 PM

Wow .. that was WEAK

Fred Murtz 02-12-2012 08:47 PM

relabled to "disappointing weak love tap"

NO, destroyed is when you get knocked off your skates when you are ready for the hit and balanced. It was a nice hit but Thornton went down as much because of his balance at the moment of contact as the hit.

KA BLAMO 02-12-2012 08:48 PM

....really?

Captain Clutch 13 02-12-2012 08:49 PM

Just finished watching the Wire season 2. I wonder if Vladimire Sobotka is related to Frank and Nick Sobotka? Haha.

llamateizer 02-12-2012 08:51 PM

wth is that?
useless thread

VinnyC 02-12-2012 08:52 PM

Solid hit, considering the weight mismatch. Nothing out of the ordinary, though.

Shellz 02-12-2012 08:54 PM

Lol the blues announcers.

Fred Murtz 02-12-2012 08:55 PM

How about the melon shot? THat was worth the price of admission right?

That's an insult to love taps everywhere...

Dolph Ziggler 02-12-2012 10:11 PM

Love ya spectr, but I don't really think this was thread-worthy

TheJuxtaposer 02-12-2012 10:15 PM

 I think the announcers pissing their pants over it was more entertaining than the hit itself.

dafoomie 02-12-2012 10:19 PM

I miss Sobotka, the Bruins got fleeced in that deal.

pSoup 02-12-2012 10:22 PM

man you guys are so harsh,

i thought the puck off the mask was better than the hit,but both were cool

I think the exact same thing whenever I hear the name now too.

Ya pretty weak hit for a thread.
