Jagr turns 40 today!
JaromirJagr was born on 15 February 1972 and turns 40 years today. :hbday::cheers::partytime:

awesome career of awesome player .... VŠECKO NEJLEPŠÍ JARDO

I'll start with one of his well known commercials

He's still got the moves....like Jagr. This should be a national holiday in my opinion.

Happy birthday Jags.

Great career. I gotta admit, his attitude is the exact opposite of what I was expecting... No offence, but I hope this is his last year. He's becoming less and less of an impact as the season progresses. Unless he signs for cheap. Dirt cheap.

...and he's definitely shown his age out there since he's come back from his last injury

That was to be expected. He's actually on pace for the 50 points that alot of us figured he'd get.. and regarding your comment on how many times he's turned the puck over recently.. well who on the team hasent been guilty of frequent turn over's in the past month?

first of all, happy birthday Jags!

second.. yea Jagr isnt 20 anymore:) but he still got awesome hands, it would take few more goals and he would be still carried on hands here.
Also we should take in account he is trying to play something completely different than he did for his whole hockey carrier, he is playing for G.

I'm surprised jagrgod or whatever hasn't come in here. I actually haven't seen him recently. Though for sure he would be in this thread...

Happy birthday Jags!

There's at least three articles today on the NHL.com site, but would most recommend the 40 for 40 quotes.

To me the strangest was from Mark Madden, a Pitt. writer who was hyper-critical of Jagr during his last season there and afterward:

"It was a game against New Jersey in the 1999 playoffs. The guy had a really bad groin pull (kept him out of four games earlier in the series), but he tied it late in Game 6 and won it in overtime, and he had a great game in Game 7. I saw him after the game and he could barely walk. He was, like, dragging a dead leg behind him, a huge bruise up the inside of his thigh. Anybody who says Jaromir Jagr didn't give it a million percent when he played for the Penguins obviously has a selective memory, because I've never seen a triumph of the will by a hurt player like Jaromir Jagr in that series. It was simply amazing."

The other surprising one was Mike Lange recalling that it was Jagr who coined the phrase "smoked him like a bad cigar"

Jagr is a god amongst men amongst boys amongst gods.
