Jonathan Bernier to the Leafs
 

What kind of package do you guys think Toronto would need to give the Kings in order to get Jonathan Bernier? I'm not going to create a proposal because all that would do is a fan base war, and we don't want that :)

What is up with Leaf fans dying to get another goalie prospect? Burke isn't going to acquire a goalie prospect and throw him in the firing line.

Not happening. He's probably going to try to get a veteran goalie or just have faith in these guys to get back to form or call up Scrivens who was pretty good in his short stint.

Don't we already have a hyped up, yet struggling, second year 23 year old with a .900 save percentage?

His not an upgrade over either Gust or Reims right now.

I'd offer grabo n Kule for bernier and Penner. Then swap schenn and colborne for carter

Wow, goalies are getting a huge overpayment in these proposals. There are not many back-up goalies in this league worthy of a 1st round pick.

Don't know what the leafs give back to get bernier who's supposed to be a future star but having one of reimer or Gus as the backup doesn't make sense. You can't have to young unproven goalies. A veteran ( shoulda kept JS) would be a better choice. Just hopefully not Nabokov cuz they already had his twin in toskala. Not a leafs fan but Nabokov would make me hate em more.

How about Andrew Raycroft for Tukka Rask... oh wait.

Habs will give you budaj. He hasn't played bad just the team in front of him has. Price will play most of the games so well take Gus + whatever is fair and let him go back to Sweden next year.

Forget a project like Bernier. The Leafs need a guy who they can put in the net, and know what to expect. Think Nikolai Khabibulin in Edmonton or Evgeni Nabokov in New York.

So basically you want to give Grabo and Kulemin for Bernier because Penner has zero value

I'd say start with kulemin, I'm hearing leads are in on backstrom though, not sure what minnesota would want, likely a top 6 forward + prospect + pick
