  • "We know that's how we've had success lately, we've taken away all the pressure and the things we can't control away and focused solely on the team we are playing in the situation. And the last time we came here we got our (tails) whipped and these guys (Jets) are on fire and we are depleted, so what is going to happen tomorrow? I don't know, but I know that we are going to be swinging.''

Quote:

  • "Right now, it's just keep on pushing and finding ways with the players that have been brought up. That's what we've been doing for a while and I think we take pride in this. We’re doing it under difficult circumstances."

TEDDY PURCELL:
Quote:

  • "We know we are on a bit of a streak right now, but this is pretty much make or break at this point of the season on this road trip. We can either make up a lot of ground or dig ourselves a bigger hole, so we know how important this is. But we've gone through a pretty difficult week already, so this is not anything we are not used to, so we will be excited for the challenge.''

Quote:

  • "We want to go about things the same way as we have, we don't want too much and get out of our game and keep doing what's been working for us. But at the same time, we know this is a four-point game, and at the end of the game we could either be seven points out or three, and that's huge at this time of the year with only 20-something games left. So we are excited, we've been playing well lately and we just need to bring that same attitude."

Well, not literally, as Downie's gone.

Will take one hell of an effort tonight. Since Vinny isn't playing, who will the Peggers boo?

JMT21 02-23-2012 06:24 AM

JETS STH here.

We reserve our booing for the opposing teams best player. It was Stamkos last time and will surely be Stamkos again tonight.

For the record...... I don't really get why our fans boo the oppositions best player.... they just do.

Let's have an injury free good game tonight.

sorry to hear about Vinny not playing... always one of favorite players. :(

I bet it will be Stamkos =)

Good luck tonight guys (not too much, of course :D)

DangleDoppler 02-23-2012 06:26 AM

I am gonna be up and pumped for this game!

I hope there's a lot of secondary scoring tonight!

Stick it to 'em Boys!

gn2007 02-23-2012 06:46 AM

Let's go lightning. Today is my birthday and i remember last year we KILLED phoenix and purcell had a hat trick i better not be dissapointed tonight by them xD.

Doctor Drej 02-23-2012 07:42 AM

If we win tonight we put ourselves in good position. Winnipeg has a few more games played than us too so it's a damn good opportunity to make up ground here especially since the Capitals are FUBAR'd and the Leafs are stagnant.

Stammertime91 02-23-2012 08:59 AM

Thompson is our number 2... :handclap:

MrMcGz 02-23-2012 09:34 AM

Need moar centers! Sheamus is the ****. Kinda lame promo tho.

LightningStrikes 02-23-2012 10:12 AM

Antropov is their 4th line center now? Wow.

MrMcGz 02-23-2012 10:20 AM

What's the over/under someone gets traded before the game?

He played a little over 20 minutes against the Ducks. It's him, Pyatt, Hall, and Stammer down the middle now. Smiths a center too but I don't think we'll see him taking too many draws.

Follower of Yzlam 02-23-2012 10:23 AM

Oh ****... big game. I have to go to a lecture tonight, but I'll be cheering on (and keeping track of the score on my phone) in spirit!

Doesn't really matter the way Stamkos is playing.

Nate has proven himself to be reliable however, asking a lot of him but thems the breaks when the GM is selling off everybody and injuries.

The Fear Boners 02-23-2012 10:55 AM

Angelidis-Smith-Wyman is so ****ing money.

Yeah, he's been pretty stagnant lately. Started the year out really well and had some nice chemistry with Burmistrov, but his skating is always going to create limitations. I love all the other elements he brings to the table, and he's shown a surprising amount of grit this year.

Two division rivals in position to take a run at the division crown, should be a dandy. It's going to be like a playoff game tonight, can't wait. Cheers!

PS. You're welcome for us sparing you the horror of Antti Miettinen. He has been absolutely brutal this year.

3.30 AM game ? BOO

They should relocate the NHL to Greenland or even better, Iceland.

And where's Niitty when you need him.
