That guy was a great poster.

landshark 02-23-2012 09:05 AM

Wow, remember when he couldn't spell his name right? He's really come a long way. Good for him!

Dude caught a lot of unnecessary flak...but every once in a while it was deserved...especially when a prospect would make him "cream his pants" (not sure if he comprehended the meaning of the phrase back then).

Haha, if I remember correctly, I think it was DaDa that used to give him the business.... well at least the most. It's funny, just mentioned him the other day and then this thread.

Congratulations Max!!!

Shape 02-23-2012 02:45 PM

Right on. Before I clicked the thread I thought it might be something bad that happened to him.

Vaasa 02-23-2012 02:49 PM

Yeah, I miss Max. He was often a great source for a realistic look at prospects. Then he got his scouting job and had to mostly leave this behind. I hadn't realized he had moved up to that level before. Good for him!

param 02-23-2012 03:16 PM

Good for him. Glad he's left us behind and moved on to better things.

Update on Sharkie.

He's now an Amateur Scout for the Thrashers. Errr, Jets.

Will he come back and post Sharks related stuff?!

....he's not yet listed on their website and his twitter still says he has that Chicago job still. But, he did say "thank you everyone" yesterday on there, maybe everything else hasn't been updated yet.

No doubt, and let this be a lesson to all the spelling nazis out there, haha.

Hell yeah! Don't remember him ever being an unnecessary d-bag. He was very well liked and respected by most of the people here.

Request from the mods:

Can we post a topic like this on the main prospect's board? It has to be exceptionally rare for a former poster to become an NHL scout. There certainly must be people on this site who remember Max.

I'm not in control over there but I do not see why not. As you said, it relates to the boards as a whole. Pretty cool if you ask me.

bluefunnel 08-11-2012 12:45 AM

That's awesome to hear, A well deserved path to his career.

I miss his in depth draft reports.

CrazedZooChimp 08-11-2012 04:58 PM

Wow, that's awesome for Max! He should start posting here again, I miss his insights (and now he'll have insider dirt).
