NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I thought we started to get our game, we started to forecheck more, we started to get pucks in deep and control it in our end.
We had our opportunities. Unfortunately, we don’t bury them.
- Ryan Callahan

They always feel like a fast team. It was tough for us to get going, to get pucks out.
We got better as the game moved on, but they had a couple of good plays in the second.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I don’t even think about first place. Every game we’re trying to win. I don’t even look at the standings.
We’re just trying to get better as a team and trying to prepare each and every day to win hockey games.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

JayQueensNY88* 02-23-2012 09:35 PM

ill be there with my girl....and a few guys i work with....

lets go rangers!

New York RKY 02-23-2012 09:36 PM

Where's Rick Nash?

I think we should win this game even though the Isles usually give us trouble. Add Nash for the Buffalo game and go from there :p:

BlueShirts88 02-23-2012 09:37 PM

I still can't find tickets!! I've been watching the secondary market like a hawk to find something under 100

Loffen 02-23-2012 09:38 PM

FYI: Stream links in OP updated and corrected.

ColonialsHockey10 02-23-2012 09:41 PM

I fully expected our starting lineup to have Rick Nash on it lol

Anyway, LGR! Let's have a nice rebound.

DoTheBlue 02-23-2012 09:57 PM

The GDT is where sanity goes to hide during the trade deadline. LGR!

There is a thread on the Trade Forum about the Rangers and Dustin Brown. Some of these people are having trouble understanding that Brown is producing at a rate similar to Dubinsky's, and think he's worth Arty, McIlrath, Thomas, and a 2nd :shakehead

charlie460 02-23-2012 11:07 PM

Hank please.

Rangers Fail 02-23-2012 11:09 PM

Oh no...not ANOTHER goalie with 0 shutouts.

Please win. :help:

SnowblindNYR 02-23-2012 11:16 PM

I know the Islanders always give us trouble but is it too much too ask for us to blow them out? I believe we have had 3 games all year where we won by more than 3 goals. Last year we had 4 wins by 6 or more goals. We haven't had 1 game like that this year (highest margin of victory was 5). Of course I won't complain if we win 3-2. But I want us to blow them out!

Your avatar speaks volumes of Ranger fans on the HFboards.

So you shouldn't be surprised.

Also why on earth would LA trade with us when they're looking for offense....as are we. :help:

NYRSchrute217 02-23-2012 11:58 PM

Better come out hard against a desperate team after we laid and egg against the Penguins. No excuses. If Dubinsky doesn't have a great game tonight he may not be a Ranger much longer. First game I'm not going to at the Coliseum in 4 years. **** the $80 tickets, I'll pay for my playoff tickets instead. Crush them

EDIT: Nabokov should be back for this one, shouldn't he?

NYRFAN218 02-24-2012 12:38 AM

Missing this one due to work. Working Friday nights suck. Oh well, I'll just catch the highlights.

LGR!

BlueshirtBlitz 02-24-2012 12:52 AM

Gonna be at the Mausoleum for this one. Need a win.

MAC TRUCK 02-24-2012 01:23 AM

Beat their ass!!!!

The Lone Ranger 02-24-2012 01:30 AM

Well, here we go again. Bouncing back successfully after a regulation loss has been like money in the back with this year's team.

LGR! :yo:

Machinehead 02-24-2012 01:58 AM

We have to be up and ready for this one. This is their ****ing Stanley Cup.

darko 02-24-2012 02:33 AM

2 points please.

LGR

Killem Dafoe 02-24-2012 05:16 AM

God just please win. LGR

terrrrrible 02-24-2012 06:12 AM

I'll be there tonight with the gf, first game of the season for me finally. Way down in section 102. LGR!

Ail 02-24-2012 06:25 AM

Rick Nash!

I mean... Lgr.

EpicDing 02-24-2012 06:31 AM

$20 tickets through school :yo: LGR!

silverfish 02-24-2012 07:40 AM

Got a bad feeling here. A desperate Islanders team + they always play like it's game 7 against the Blueshirts.

Hope the boys understand that and come out with a fire under their ass.

Hank tonight and Marty tomorrow please, and let's try and grab 3/4 points this weekend by starting tonight with 2!

LGR

Dangleberry 02-24-2012 08:14 AM

A few weeks ago I scored a $120 single right behind the Isles goaltender. :yo:
