Hemsky for Bernier, Voynov, Brown and a 2013 1st

czar99 02-23-2012 11:15 PM

I hope there is none involving Hemsky.

Cloned 02-23-2012 11:18 PM

Hemsky for Carter.

Then trade Carter to Columbus for Nash.

bardfromedson 02-23-2012 11:20 PM

Hemskys stock took another jump tonight. another game like that and he will be getting a big return. teams are going to get desperate with only nash and hemsky on the market. i still want to keep him but it aint happening

Nah. Richards to Philly for Couturier and Voracek.

I wouldn't jump into any conclusions. If what we're hearing is accurate, they may sign Hemmer before getting a mediocre return.

That's way too one sided. :sarcasm:

for Greene, Penner, and Stoll?

manpig brings up an interesting idea:

Gilbert for Brown

With the way Petry is playing... I think I'd do that.

I would not.

Gilbert, Petry and Smid are playing outstanding. But we still only have 3 top-4 D-man on the team. We need to add more, not less.

Something around Hemsky and Brown makes sense for us. And potentially them if they are adamant to move Brown.

Hemsky + Peckham/Potter/Barker/Omark

That's all I can think of.

Yeah, we've waited for years for Gilbert and Smid to turn the corner. And now that they finally have we should probably keep them. The exciting thing is that it looks like Petry has turned the corner faster than either of them did.

How about three way trade

LA. Gilbert
Edm. L schenn
Tor. Brown

Maybe add picks to even out

On Thats Hockey 2 Nite they are talking about how LA needs a dman now and they might have to move Brown now to get one.

Except Gilbert is better than Schenn

Then a Schenn for Brown deal makes sense. Fill in the rest

I should add they spoke of the need for a puck moving dman. So not sure that would work. I'm sure Burke would love Brown though.

Whatever it is, we need Brown.

This season, even though that team is struggling, he's still on pace for 20g, 288 hits, plays on the 2nd PK unit, plays tough minutes and top PP minutes.

He's decent defensively, good along the boards, and plays with heart.

That's the guy I want for our 2nd line RW spot.

Cloned 02-23-2012 11:41 PM

I still can't get over the Carter for Johnson deal.

That has got to be the stupidest deal for both involved teams in the history of the league.

dnicks17 02-23-2012 11:44 PM

LA needs a defenseman?

Barker for Penner? :sarcasm:

Oilbleeder 02-23-2012 11:45 PM

I wonder if TML fans are annoyed that Burke didn't give up that for Carter.

Carter is basically everything Toronto needed, and it would've cost them something around Gardiner+ for it to happen.

Carter is a C, can score and is physical. Perfect player for a Burke team.
