Call up Zuccarello (RECALLED - 3/11)
With Wolski gone, does Zuccarello get called up??? I think he might....anyone else think Zuccarello gets called up???
|
No...Wolski wasn't even playing...

If he came up, I assume he'd just be the new healthy scratch. I can't see Torts changing the lineup short of something forcing his hand.
|
I think it's very likely that Zuccarello gets called up before Monday . . .
. . . on the telephone informing him that the Rangers have traded him. *Note: that would disappoint me, because I think Zuccarello had something to offer. |
If they call up anyone just to be the 13th forward, it'll be Deveaux or Newbs. I don't think they make any move, as Bickel can cover a fwd spot if needed.
|
Hopefully they send ****ing John Malkin to the AHL and replace him with MZA.
|
He may, if for not other reason, than to help in shootouts.

No point at all in calling him up. Trade for pick. |
If the Rangers get Nash I am willing to bet Zuccarello is in it too. Why would a team like CLB not take a shot at the guy?
|
MZA will lead the Whale to the Calder Cup, leave him be. ;)

The guy does not belong in the AHL, he deserves a real shot at the NHL level and a fresh start. I have no doubt in my mind that he is good enough to play regularly in the NHL given the right opportunity in the right situation. |
I'd like MZA to get moved so I can finally stop hearing about him.
|
We need to move on past this. Zuccarello won't be a ranger again. He's a free agent after this year so they may try to deal him and get a pick back but just like Sean Avery the shipped on Zuccs has sailed.
|
The Rangers just cleared cap space to make moves at the deadline to strengthen themselves. i don't see bringing up Zuccarello as one those playoff-strengthening moves.

Wasnt there a report earlier this year saying if he didn't play this year he'd go back to Europe?
|
his idiot agent said something like that. Dont believe anything that comes out of that moron Erik Ryman's mouth.

Now, having said that, the Rangers are known for being good to their players and I'm sure that they're trying to move him right now. Failing that, if they do qualify him this summer, it won't be just to let him rot - they'll try to move him there as well. The issue is that while they're good to their players, they're also good business people (well, not counting certain past UFA signings that will go unmentioned) and if he continues to hold value, they'll move him for his sake, but only when they get something back for their own. |
