Who gets the call-up?

Rangers have a few roster spots available for call-ups. I hope we get to see MZA up here. Maybe Erixon? Although IDK if that would happen considering the amount of defenders here.

Gotta think Scott plays forward during games like the Bruins (or 12th forward/7th D hybrid). I, personally, would like to see Erixon up. Waive Eminger or Bickel and bring up Erixon.

Vitto79 02-27-2012 04:37 PM

Zuke has to be the call up if someone gets hurt. Really he should get a try anyway and just waive Woywitka down

pray Sauer gets healthy on D people. If he does the D looks great and if he doesnt ack the playoffs will scare me a little with Eminger, Bickel, Scott, Stralman

or on D just throw Erixon in there. He has had a good yr in CT

bring up Zucc. And I agree I do not trust any of Stralman, Bickel, Woywitka and Eminger come playoff time. McD, Girardi, Staal and MDZ can play about 50 minutes combined. It's those other 10 minutes where we will be in trouble unless Erixon gets the call up and Sauer gets healthy.

Brooks tweeted that with Scott we now have 12 forwards and 9 defensemen. With 2 goalies, that puts you at 23 - isn't that the limit?

Rupp or Bickel is getting sent down if this Scott fellow gets a spot.

Would definitely love to see Zuccarello on the third line with Dubinsky and Boyle. He could really ignite a fire under them.

RangerFan10 02-27-2012 04:48 PM

Rupp isn't getting sent down. Bickel is probably on his way down barring the announcement of any other moves.

Not sure how you figure we have room for a call-up, being that all we did was add a roster player without getting rid of any.

Mentioned it in another thread, but I wonder if the Connecticut staff is watching Casey Wellman... and when he looks like he's got the system down, they'll inform the Rangers. At which point, if a spot opens up, Wellman will get the call. Just a thought.

And then where does Hagelin go? Hagelin>>>>Zuccarello

I find it troubling that you would trust Erixon int he playoffs but not Eminger, Stalman, Bickel or Woywitka.

I don't think anyone gets called up at the moment unless there is an injury.

Brendan Shanahan 02-27-2012 04:52 PM

Maybe I don't know his game, but I feel like Wellman is a hybrid between Hagelin and Dubinsky.

Wellman is an option for sure. He has played some NHL games

At this point Brooks is a dummy cause Bickel just played some 4th line wing, Scott can do the same......so they dont really have 12 F

Any updates on Sauer? is there a chance he is back? Would make a huge difference

btw go for Parise in the offseason, F this Nash crap

Stugots 02-27-2012 04:54 PM

Zuccarrello should get the call up to play on the third line with Dubi and Boyle- move Prust down and have Prust/Feds/Mitchell/Rupp alternate on the 4th line.

I don't know why people keep saying "GO PARISE!"

I doubt he even hits the market.

This. Add some offensive flair and playmaking to the third line and shield Zuccarello by playing him with two good defensive players.

Why is someone getting a call-up?
