I know First Mariner is a dump, but if your franchise was smart they would expand to become the Baltimore/Washington Caps. One exhibiton won't cut it.

We have a lot of great sports fans here, who I think would embrace the Capitals if they decided to represent the area.

I'm a Rangers fan (originally from NY), but I think your franchise is retarded for marrying itself to a horrible sports city like Washington DC.

mrwarden 02-27-2012 10:42 PM

To say that Baltimore is a better sports town than Washington...there just...wow.

Nobody is actually from DC. If you go to a bar in DC-Metro to watch a game you will see jerseys many different teams.

As far as a hockey town??? No way..... Nothing but yuppies...

PuckBuddy 02-27-2012 10:49 PM

In before troll account accusations.

SpringfieldSkins 02-27-2012 10:51 PM

OP's screen name, SAvery16. OP says that an NHL team should host games in what he calls "a dump". OP then goes on to call the franchise retarded and the city it represents horrible.

Thanks fella.

You do have to admit, DC does suck.

tycoonheart 02-27-2012 10:55 PM

Sorry big man. I'm just not a real big fan of DC. It's too spread out and vanilla for my taste.

Yea I'm sure the perennial super bowl contender Ravens fans, and their beautiful downtown stadium are really jealous of the perennial pathetic Redskins, and their horrible stadium in Landover, MD.

stanleycaps98 02-27-2012 11:03 PM

Baltimore lost how many AHL and ECHL teams?

/thread.

PuckBuddy 02-27-2012 11:09 PM

My dad worked on Pratt st. and had season tickets to the Jacks. I grew up watching them. Baltimore isn't a hockey city.

Carlzner 02-27-2012 11:18 PM

There would be like 6 or 7 people in attendance.

SpringfieldSkins 02-27-2012 11:25 PM

What I don't get is how a Rangers fan who's a transplant to the ****hole (sorry, it's 90% ****hole) of Baltimore gets his rocks off by starting a thread about how a team he doesn't like should host games in a city that he's not from.

LetsGoBears 02-27-2012 11:31 PM

This is real simple, 18,506>11,286. In all seriousness, the Caps would be better off playing a couple games at the Giant Center in Hershey.

It's only fair, the Bears have been playing quite a few games at VC this season.

Brodie 02-27-2012 11:35 PM

You earned that bump like a mother****er, Ovi

Liberati0n* 02-27-2012 11:41 PM

What I like about this thread is how perfectly the guy's avatar fits his posts.

WetHog 02-27-2012 11:44 PM

*edit*

Removed this part of my response to this NY Fan Troll. Not worth getting into things with someone who clearly hasn't a clue.

On topic, 1st Mariner is a **** hole, and the part of town its in isn't much better. Uncle Teddy would be wise not to return until 1st Mariner is replaced.

Not a big man just a regular fella :). Your absolutely welcome to your opinion I was curious as to why. Not sure why you used 'vanilla' at DC is an incredibly multi-cultural area but I could not be interpreting your connotative use of 'vanilla' correctly. What I do like about DC is everything it does have to offer..plenty of night life areas in the DC metro area as well as a plethora of culture type stuff. Couple hours plus from mountains or the beach.

My DC cons are more the music related side of things though historically there have been great venues past and present. Ooops forgot traffic is one of the worst in the nation.

I do like Baltimore. Never had any problem with their sports/fans. Was an O's fans back in the 80-90s being the closest baseball team. Played there a bunch of times with many bands and always a more blue collar atmosphere which anyone must admit is much more responsive to the rock genre.

My greatest DC pet peeve? The Black Cat...elitist tools (and I've played there).

Langway 02-27-2012 11:48 PM

Ok, hun.

WetHog 02-27-2012 11:53 PM

I will say though, I wish Baltimore would take back the Bullets/Wizards. That City and Franchise are made for each other.

SAvery16* 02-28-2012 12:01 AM

Dude,

The only Baltimore team I have alliegience to is the Orioles. I'm a neutral observer and there are pros and cons when comparing the two cities.

For a Sunday football experience Baltimore blows DC out of the water. The bars are packed with beautiful girls, and the city is decked out in purple.

In DC you walk into a bar and there are packs.... PACKS of out of state Cowboy fans.. I can't imagine a worse crowd than Cowboy fans who aren't even from Texas...

DC nightlife isn't better than Baltimore, but the crowd definitely is. Baltimore has some cool venues/neighborhoods (Fed Hill, Mt Vernon, Canton Square, Power Plant, Fells Point, etc..) All DC really has is Adams Morgan and Georgetown....

Problem with Baltimore is that it is townie as ****--A lot of large girl/guy groups makes it really difficult to socialize...

In DC everyone is from out of town, and its not hard to meet a girl at a bar and hit it off...

Traffic blows in both cities, and both areas are ghetto as **** outside of a few places.
