I think the 400's were something like:

50ish
75ish
100ish
125ish

Can anyone tell me the date the playoff invoices went out last year... Thanks in advance!

rambler725 02-29-2012 09:30 AM

Last year i received e-mail notification of invoice being ready on March 11..physical mailing about 5 days later I think....Playoffs are not my concern I know prices will be jacked up ..my concern is next years per game price..right now i pay $63 a game for center ice 300s....i am guessing $75 per next year any more than that and i will just say YIKES what am i getting myself into:sarcasm:

75 bucks next year I'm afraid is wishful thinking.....

From what I have heard center ice 300,s or the equivalant of should be priced next year between $73 and $78.Other 300,s should be in the high $60,s. My friend in the ticket department told me that upper management realizes that this team is extremely good know but it is important to MSG to not price out the regular fan. I would also expect to see the lower bowl go up slightly. Since last year the waiting list has grown from under 40 requests to a about 400 or about 10x and that usually means 2 seats or more with a $500 deposit. I know for a fact that 2 seasons ago there was no waiting list at all and that included some 300,s and 400,s.
When I first signed up for the waiting list in 1996 it took me about 7 years to get called because I requested only 300,s and 400,s. (My Brother ended up taking these from me). I then put my self back on the list after the lockout and got my own seats 4 years ago.
One thing in the STH,s favor is that the seats will be assigned before the playoffs are over thus I would hope keeping the price down if the Rangers have a great playoff. I would be worried pricewise about 2 years from now because the team should be better, the garden will be done and the waiting list will be longer. As long as MSG has a waiting list they will have no problem raising prices. Unfortunately for us that is the way business works.

do you have any idea what the equivalent 400s prices will be

also i believe playoff prices for the 400s were the following for last season

First round - $68
Second round - $76
ECF - $120
SCF - $150

Yes that's what the prices were. There was also the 10 percent discount for paying early.

Could I get individual playoff game tickets from ticketmaster or the Garden box office? Or do I have to be a season ticket holder to get them? The re-sale prices on stubhub are absurd already.

Ticketmaster only I believe. And there are pre sales for STH's, mini plan holders, Chase card holders etc. If you can get a hold of one of the pre sale codes, it would go a long way to getting you tickets. Cheapest is probably gonna be $100 with fees.

NYRFAN218 02-29-2012 11:02 AM

Also I'd bank on next Friday being the date they release all the info for next year and the playoffs. They did it on Friday last year to avoid getting destroyed in the media for the increases.

I seriously doubt there will be anything available on an individual game basis through ticketdisaster. Anything not taken by season ticket holders, or the teams and league will probably be put directly on stubhub for a premium.

Do STH get an additional pre-sale on single game playoff tickets?

They did last year. They had a limited inventory I believe I was able to grab 4 seats in Section 211. They had nothing available in the 300,s or 400,s and it was on a first come first serve basis not seniority. The seats were not single game but per round so I had to buy 3 games. If I remember correctly I was offered the option of buying the same seats every round but not locked in to buying them(I am not 100% on this) but this might be the year to try to snag some extras.

NYRFAN218 02-29-2012 01:30 PM

Someone here on the boards I know got one of the codes and was able to get a pair in 411 for game 4 last year. The key is you have to be on there right away as soon as the tickets become available or the code becomes active. Everything upstairs is gone in minutes or even seconds.

I have my ticket from the game the Rangers won in double OT in 07 against Buffalo. This was a 2nd round game also and the ticket was $45. Tickets have jumped a ton since then.

EDIT - To be specific, it was in the 400's. Also, I remember the first round in 2009 was something like $60. I believe the year after 2006-2007 is when the tickets jumped the most.

my dad said when he was around 17-19 the blue seats were only like 5 bucks

Giglio NYR15 02-29-2012 08:04 PM

I wouldnt be surprised if the 1st round 400s is 75 a seat. It should be around March 9th that emails go out. Im eagerly waiting. More importantly my seats for next season.

17futurecap 02-29-2012 08:07 PM

Definitely more interested in the price for my non center 300 seats for next year. I know the playoffs will always be expensive, but those should sell well this year. Next year is what I am worried about.

That's my current section. After reading those prices, I threw up in my mouth a little.
