Might miss tomorrow night vs Hurricanes. Also worth noting we have a game friday, just 24 hours after.

The Captain is tough it would have to be real bad for him to miss a game...

n8 02-29-2012 11:58 AM

let him rest. I want him 100% for the playoffs.

Blueshirt Believer 02-29-2012 12:00 PM

oh well, these things happen. Gotta admit the timing is pretty good though. If there was ever a team to miss a game against its the Hurricanes.

FromTheSide 02-29-2012 12:04 PM

We play carolina/tampa back to back.

Realistically we don't NEED him to beat either, so let him rest.

nevesis 02-29-2012 12:06 PM

Wondering when this actually happened during the NJ game...

Hopefully this doesn't linger.

I remember him limping off the ice around the 2nd.

BlueShirts88 02-29-2012 12:19 PM

No biggie. It's not broken, just bruised. They tend to heal quickly.

haohmaru 02-29-2012 12:20 PM

I bruised my foot on Sunday night playing hockey wearing a Callahan T-Shirt. Coincidence?

No, its voodoo:rant:

raist 02-29-2012 12:24 PM

Let him rest, we need him at 100% come playoff time

-31- 02-29-2012 12:25 PM

John Scott will slide nicely into his spot, no worries

quentez 02-29-2012 12:25 PM

This could open for a Zucca recall...or?

Hagelin-Richards-Zuccarello

Ain't bad. But I'm sure Torts goes for the immensely talented John Scott.

IIRC that was Hagelin after he took Zidlicky's slapshot to the ankle. Don't remember anyone else limping off but could have missed it.

NYRangers09 02-29-2012 12:35 PM

No biggie, give him the night off. Put Dubi back with Richards and give him enough time there to get him going

Yeah I definitely remember Hagelin limping off, not Cally.

After last year with Callahan, any time I see someone uneasy after blocking a shot I pray for no broken bones. Callahan was missed last year, and I am all for sitting him out for a few games until he is ready to go.

The Perfect Paradox 02-29-2012 01:32 PM

Give him as much time as he needs. This team needs to stay healthy for the playoffs, no reason to rush him back.

Swagelin 02-29-2012 01:38 PM

I believe he was on Boomer and Carton this morning. I wonder if he mentioned it?

He didn't call in, and didn't go to practice.

Odd...

BlueshirtBlitz 02-29-2012 02:17 PM

We shouldn't need him to beat two pretty subpar teams. Let him rest up, don't want any repeats of the Chara shot.

Clowes Line 02-29-2012 02:17 PM

Queue John Scott :)

Brendan Shanahan 02-29-2012 02:42 PM

At least it's not broken like last year. Time for Scott to goon it up. More ice time for Hagelin if anything. He deserves it.

beastly115 02-29-2012 02:49 PM

Let him rest.

Bickel to forward, Scott to defense.
