Do you want the habs to win or lose?
Watching the remainder of the habs' games this season, will you be happier seeing the team win or lose?

I personally much prefer the team losing, and that goal last game vs Minny with 10 seconds left on the clock put a big smile on my face. As much as I love the team, the playoff race is over and I'm thinking of what 1st round pick will be playing for the habs next season. Just want to see how many people share my pov.

Tomorrow I want a win.

Lose. Even if it's against Boston/Toronto/Ottawa.

Tank for the win!

I'm happier when the team wins, but I know it's best if they lose... So conflicted

It sucks, but we need them to lose, we absolutely need one of those 4 kids to get this ship turned around.

Jake5 03-03-2012 12:27 AM

lose as many as possible
tanking the season =/= rebuild
grab a great centre prospect with our likely top3 pick, add some bottom 6 grit and another top 4 D and this team will be very good once our draft pick develops (also giving MaxPac, Subban, Eller, Emelin, Desharnais, Diaz/Weber a few more years to grow and the potential of Beaulieu/Tinordi/Gallagher/Leblanc entering the lineup)...

there's no real purpose in starting to win this late in the season (other than team morale or whatever). tanking just this one season can put the team in a very very good position a few years down the road. couple years from now, the Habs could actually have a pretty close to ideal center lineup in Grigorenko/Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Eller-White

Goalchenyuk87 03-03-2012 12:29 AM

Losing is my only motivation

CrazyShea 03-03-2012 12:31 AM

Playoffs are impossible to reach now so might as well lose the remaining game and finish as low as we can. Sucks seeing them lose but it is for the best

Failing Hands 03-03-2012 12:45 AM

Lose all the way!

McTusk 03-03-2012 12:49 AM

I want Murray!

habtastic 03-03-2012 01:23 AM

Just win against the Leafs. Lose the rest. We're so close!

Emanresu Wen 03-03-2012 01:26 AM

I want them to lose now so they can win next year

I'd be very happy with Murray or Dumba.

Do we want a top 5 pick overall...?
Do we want to select 8th or 9th or 10th overall?
Easy choice for me!!

THE NEAR FUTURE (strong defense wins...build around Price...let's do something right for once...build a strong defense...this is our chance to repair missing McDonagh, or heck...Timmins will choose the BPA, he knows what he's doing):

UFA (Suter?) - Subban
Emelin - Gorges
Tinordi - Beaulieu
Murray or Dumba

Carey Price

I agree that shoring up the D is of great concern, but how often do we get a chance at a bonafide offensive superstar. If we get top 3 (if things stay the same), I'm really hoping for a fwd.

i want em to do the best they can!
Unfortunately this year, its not that much

larek 03-03-2012 01:53 AM

Lose this season and lose next season

though immediately prior to & during any game, I'll still watch as I always do... happy when they play well/win, pissed when they play poorly/lose.

Naoned 03-03-2012 02:35 AM

Hate it, but we need more losses... In order to win more games in the future.

Lose. At this point there's no way we're making the playoffs so why not accept it and get a better player. If we're gonna miss the playoffs lets miss them by a longshot and get top notch talent

capebretoncanadien 03-03-2012 03:39 AM

Win of course. The possibility of a high draft pick takes the sting out of losing a little. Even if we do drop to 5 6 or 7 there's still some very nice players available. Outside of Yakupov seems like nobody is a sure bet. The high pick is not necessarily the end all be all of this outfit. It'd be nice if the team got healthy and starting getting better to play with each other rather than pinning hopes on what is now a big ?

sharks9 03-03-2012 06:24 AM

Win against the Leafs and Bruins, lose against everyone else.

AntonCH 03-03-2012 06:28 AM

I want them to:
Draft High!!

Corncob 03-03-2012 06:38 AM

I want the players to try as hard as they can and win as many games as they can. No point having a high draft pick if the roster you are putting them into a roster full of 'losers'.

I want to see players (especially younger players who will be with the team for the long term) playing well, developing, and gaining confidence. If that leads to wins, then I'll cheer the wins. If they play well but lose, I'll console myself with the higher draft pick.

Not all franchise players are picked in the top 5.

Historically the top 5 has countless busts.
