neg, I remember starting a thread about Herb Carnegie about a year ago on the Habs board. I think I referenced some good sites about him and the line he played on with Manny McIntyre and his brother. Kind of ironic how proud we've always been about Jackie Robinson's year in Mtl. while at the same time, players like this were not afforded the oppurtunity of playing in the NHL. I looked for specifics about whether there was ever talk of him getting a tryout but came up with nothing. My father saw him play in the QSL in the 50's when the Senior league was a big deal, but frankly he knows the name but his memory isn't that good these days.
