Omark to Oilers

Omark has according to my "sources" been recalled. :naughty: Can't seam to find a official link to confirm that... :yo:

Jimmi Jenkins 03-05-2012 09:36 AM

Wonderful, I'm glad to see he's made it back to the point where he can get a call up. Here's hoping he plays a solid game this time up.

nqmt 03-05-2012 09:39 AM

YES! FINALLY!!! THE LINUS HAS COME BACKKK... To Edmonton.

Mr Sakich 03-05-2012 09:40 AM

this is good news. The Oilers can give Hall a week or two to get his shoulder back to 100% as wll as seeing if they have a player in Linus.

At some point in the near future, they have to make a decision on Linus. Is he a real NHL player or do we allow him to go back to Sweden?

The Head Crusher 03-05-2012 09:41 AM

Only thing I can find is a tweet from BlueBelle

thadd 03-05-2012 09:45 AM

Who on earth would he be replacing? I don't think any of our players are hurt and we've got enough smirks in our top 6 as things are.

OilerFan4Life 03-05-2012 09:45 AM

Linus scores 4 tonight.....on Jonas Hiller before he's pulled and Linus pots another 3 on Dan Ellis.

I'm thinking when he took that spill into the boards with Fistric. He landed awkwardly on his arm.

I THINK.

Reimer 03-05-2012 09:49 AM

Is Hall actually hurt? I saw the play in Dallas where he came off in pain but that was early in the 1st and he played the remainder of the game didn't he?

nabob 03-05-2012 09:49 AM

Probably that play behind the net early in the last game where he skated off with his arm limp

The Last Dynasty 03-05-2012 09:52 AM

I'm guessing Hall doesn't play on this roadie

rockinghockey 03-05-2012 09:56 AM

Will they give him a legit chance to play top 6 minutes though. Otherwise it is just a waste.

Skm 03-05-2012 09:56 AM

You would think if Hall would be missing games that something would have come out before now...odd.

joestevens29 03-05-2012 10:05 AM

All over twitter now. Omark up.

Hope he gets a good look. Need to figure out if he is apart of this team's future or if we are dealing him this off-season.

joestevens29 03-05-2012 10:06 AM

Edmonton Oilers ‏ @NHL_Oilers

"Just a maintenance day for him. We're hoping he's fine in the morning." -Renney on Taylor Hall

From yesterday.

The Edmonton #Oilers have recalled left-winger Linus Omark from the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL:

This is exactly the reason why I appreciate BlueBelle's posts every morning, and read them first.

Thanks BB!

I would think with Petrell playing in the top 6 last game there is more than enough room to give Linus a look. Althoguh that would be the obvious, Renney sometimes seems like the Prendergast, he always thinks he knows some unforseen glorious move. Then at the end of the day he can't brag about it because it never works out.

Wouldn't surprise me if Prendergast was the brains behind most of the picks for the WJC team this past winter.

0ilerman 03-05-2012 10:14 AM

give him top 6 minutes, top pp time - a legit chance to succeed in an offensive role.

Valic 03-05-2012 10:15 AM

Hurray!

Mr Forever 03-05-2012 10:18 AM

play him with Belanger

:sarcasm:

Koto 03-05-2012 10:19 AM

who does he play with...he stunk with RNH-eberle who rely on very quick tick-tack touch passing, i cant imagine him playing with hemsky..no finish at all between them.

Omark-Gagner-Eberle?
Hall-RNH-Hemsky...

i guess its the best that can be done, i'd really prefer to keep RNH and eberle together.

joestevens29 03-05-2012 10:19 AM

So here's my question should we even expect anything from him? Didn't he just play 3 games in a row?

NAF 03-05-2012 10:20 AM

As glad as I'm sure Omark is to get another shot, the timing sucks for him. He just played three games in three different cities (scored the only OKC goal last night in Chicago). If he goes tonight, that'll be his fourth game in four nights in four cities. Yeesh.

Pretty much exactly the same situation as Harski during his brief call ups. Teemu wrote a blog post about it after the fact, and for both call ups he was completely gassed. Which anyone watching could see.

Also, I hope they don't play Omark in Hall's position on the left wing. I still remember what that looked like from when they tried it out against the Flames early in the season.

Despite my reservations, I wish the kid luck. It's a good call to bring him up . The organization has to make a decision about this player an they need to see him play some games against NHL competition.
