(3/8): Datsyuk and Ericsson practicing, Nyquist called up, Zetterberg not practicing

From Bill Roose:

Quote:

RooseBill: More good news: Pavel Datsyuk has joined his #RedWings teammates in full equipment for today's practice.
Edit: Nyquist has also been recalled as per TPL.

Roose also says Ericsson is practicing.

Ugh, now Zetterberg isn't practicing, according to Khan.

Wings official twitter confims Nyquist being called up.

Please play him in the Top 6!

Xvash2 03-08-2012 10:18 AM

5 minutes on the 4th line on Friday.

Well, Z is battling through the lower leg problem. I could see it just being a maintenance type day since there was 2 days in between games.

Are we to assume Nyquist is up for Z and Zett will be out tomorrow night or does Bert still have his issue?

Nyquist is up for Bert.

Jussha 03-08-2012 10:33 AM

if Nyquist gets to play Tatar will probably be bummed out that the 2 times he got called up just in case, the injured player ended up playing LOL

hopefully this motivates him to tear it up during the final stretches to get the griffins into the playoffs

This team is NHLs version of Arsenal F.C, made of glass it seems.

Do Millwall still have a football team? Hadn't seen them in any of the top divisions since I left home so I wasn't sure.. :sarcasm:

Flowah 03-08-2012 11:44 AM

Only lineup change for Wings Friday is Nyquist in for Conner.
Per Khan's twitter

Xvash2 03-08-2012 12:07 PM

Which means Nyquist will be on the 4th line. Honestly, I don't think I've seen a sadder line combinations than in our last game.

#RedWings Babcock on Fri's game: No Nick. No Pav. No Bert. Z's in. No E obviously. No Kindl. Lots of names. It's Nyquist for Conner.
Sum of today's practice.

chances14 03-08-2012 12:23 PM

i have a feeling that once we get some of our guys back, zetterberg will be sat a few games to rest up

sepster 03-08-2012 01:09 PM

According to mLive

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....rom_pav_4.html

Nyquist skated on a line with Abdelkader and Cleary. Which is considered in the top 6 with the Wings current lineup.

GT500x 03-08-2012 02:00 PM

Now I expect they'll just need time to learn each others tendencies on the ice before the can be productive

crashman 03-08-2012 02:20 PM

If he's gets 5-7 minutes on the 4th line, they might as well have kept Conner in the lineup.

Good.

...not that Abdelkader and Cleary are really great linemates for him, mind you, but at least he should be getting real Top 6 minutes this time (if these lines actually hold up).

That is really really sad.

sepster 03-08-2012 03:01 PM

Agreed.

Hopefully, Nyquist and Abdelkader can move the puck between the two of them and Cleary can just hobble his way to the front of the net and post his ass there.
