Staubitz vs Kassian
Fight between Staubitz and Kassian in MTL@VAN game.

Clear win Staubitz. Maybe a TKO
It feel so good to have him in the line-up :handclap:

Mit Yarrum 03-11-2012 12:39 PM

Staubitz clear victory.

Kass didn't look out of place though. Give him a few seasons and I think a fight like that could go the other way.

TheNorthFace 03-11-2012 12:54 PM

Decent scrap. I laughed at Kassian's facial expression while skating to the box.

Hannibal 03-12-2012 09:28 AM

Clear win for Staubitz! :handclap:

Kassian is only 21, no surprise in the clear loss there. Kid is gonna be a beast in a few years and be able to easily handle guys like Staubitz once he gets some experience under his belt, by the looks of things.

I don't normally like habs or nucks

but I enjoyed that fight

Timmer44 03-12-2012 02:07 PM

Experience takes this one. Kassian throws without defending, keep your chin down kid.

KingBuzzo 03-12-2012 02:14 PM

Staubitz picked him apart when the fight swung in his momentum. That's just clear experience over the rookie. Kassian will get better though.

ytownhockey10 03-12-2012 02:32 PM

staubitz with a good win in this one.

rynryn 03-12-2012 05:58 PM

Staubitz, clearly. Good for Staubitz to accept the fight in the oppositions rink when the poor guy was denied all the time during home games in Minnesota.

Kassian is going to be a beast! Might take a few beatings on behalf of Burrows and Lapierre until he gains some experience but i can see him becoming dominant in a policing role at the very least and he still has potential to chip in some offense. Hate the Canucks but this was a really good pick-up by them for the fact he fills a pretty big hole.

MXD 03-12-2012 06:05 PM

Clear win Staubitz. Good showing up by Kassian considering the pretty good gap in experience.

moog35 03-12-2012 07:54 PM

Kassian has an entertaining fighting style, it may lead to him getting tagged but he likes to trade punches. Staubitz is and under rated fighter who can throw with both hands. Nice to see him and White in the line up for the Habs. Staubitz gets the clear win in that scrap.

Also is it just me or does Staubitz look bigger than what he's listed at, most sites including nhl.com have him listed at 6'1 215, but he looked around the same size as Kassian and earlier in the season when he scrapped Hordichuk who is listed as the same size Staubitz looked taller

Gene Parmesan 03-13-2012 12:18 AM

Nah Stauby is 6'1. Probably closer to 225.

Wheatking 03-13-2012 12:24 AM

Had Staubitz lost this fight, it may have been his last in the NHL. Obviously I'm exaggerating but there is no way he loses this fight.

Gene Parmesan 03-13-2012 12:27 AM

im sure he was licking his chops.

CanucksBen 03-20-2012 12:09 AM

Kassians a beauty, didnt really look like anyone surely won the fight, but nice bout for the 21 year old
