Your Team's All Time Tough Guy Lineup
Say your team was about to have an all out brawl. What would be your all-time fighting lineup? Only rules: Player must have played 3 seasons with your team.
Primeau - Lindros - Tocchet (line ensures we actually win the game ) Berube - Brown - Schultz Holmgren - Brashear - Kordic Kelly - Bridgman - Fedoruk Hatcher - Pronger (again, ensures a victory) Wilson - Dupont Van Impe - McCrimmon Hextall Snow Can anybody beat these goons (and very tough skill players)? I personally think The Chief was the best pound for pound fighter of all time. He may be the only guy to beat Probert 3 times, and imagine if he were 6'3" 230 instead of 6'1" 205. I doubt he'd ever have lost. A ton of other guys who up there who were heavyweight champs and extremely feared. Can anybody top this? Boston? St. Louis? |
Glen Cochrane has to make the team on D..had some nice seasons in the early 80s..paired up with Mark Howe i think...im sure he had over 300 PiMs one year at least..

Lucic-Thornton-Neely
Cashman-Sanderson-O'Reilly Jonathan-Linseman-Wensink Miller-Markwart-Byers Chara-Shore Park-Green Flaman-Curran Don Cherry behind the bench. |
Lindsay-Howe-Shanahan
Gallant-McCarty-Bertuzzi Grimson-Kocur-Probert (broken orbital bones for everyone on your team) Polonich-Downey-Tiger Williams Konstantinov-Larson Chelios-Watson H. Young-Korn Vernon Osgood |
Sharks:
Clowe-J.Thornton-Nolan Stern-Ricci-Odgers Hunter-Nichol-S.Thornton Parker-Smith-Nazarov Gaetz-Marchment Murray-McSorley McLaren-Rathje Belfour Can't think of any other tough guy goalies Quote:

Ryane Clowe-Dody Wood-Owen Nolan
Scott Thornton-Scott Nichol-Andrei Nazarov Jeff Odgers-Mike Ricci-Ronnie Stern Jody Shelley-Mark Smith-Scott Parker Bryan Marchment-Douglas Murray Link Gaetz-Jim Kyte Rob Davison-Doug Zmolek no goalies worth ****. |
Sabres would just need to send 5 guys over the boards ...
Rob Ray Brad May Matt Barnaby Larry Playfair Bob Boughner :fight: |
I cut the copied the post above me and made changes
Ryane Clowe-Joe Thornton-Owen Nolan Scott Thornton-Mike Ricci-Todd Harvey Jeff Odgers-Dody Wood-Tim Hunter Ronnie Stern-Mark Smith-Scott Parker Bryan Marchment-Douglas Murray Kyle Mclaren-Rob Blake Marty Mcsorely-Link Gaetz Vernon Belfour Thornton is underated in the toughness department, pretty good fighter, destroyed Getzlaf, yeh he lost to Lindros, but it's freakin Eric Lindros. idk much about Link Gaetz but 326 pim in 48 games??Tim Hunter had 135 in 46 which is impressive, but that has to be some sort of record edit: ohh there was another one further up that was pretty close. oh well |

Emery
Lehner Chara Carkner Phillips Hnidy Lambert Vial Van Allen Smith Neil Ruutu Fisher Roy Mcgrattan Foligno Donovan Bass Kelly Ray Some haven't played 3 seasons, but have been with the system for 3 years plus. Defense is pretty scary. Forwards is ok, Fisher is our best player who could throw down. |

Malone-Lecavalier-Downie
Dingman-Gratton-Tucker Craig-Tarnasky-Roy Dwyer-Wiemer-Clymer Ciccone-Poeschek Pratt-Sarich Bergevin-LiPuma Smith Cloutier Guys who didn't make the 3 year minimum cutoff, but would have made the team otherwise: Konopka (2 seasons, 3rd all-time in TB fights) DeBrusk Barnaby Myhres McCarthy I also swapped out Cullimore-Kubina, with Bergevin-Lipuma, as although the former had more fights, they were much less frequent than the shorter stinted latter pairing. |
Secord-Mikita-Nesterenko
Probert-Roenick-D Graham Bulley-Ruskowski-Duane Sutter Grimson-Burish-Cummins Chelios-Magnuson S Smith-Manson P Russell-B McGill Peluso, Marchment, Fleming Belfour Rollins Keenan So many great candidates for the defense. Which is depressing, since the Hawks have so few today. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. |
:habs
John Ferguson - Newsy Lalonde - Maurice Richard Shayne Corson - Doug Risebrough - Chris Nilan Scott Thornton - Ryan White - Turner Stevenson Donald Brashear - Todd Ewen - John Kordic Emile Bouchard - Larry Robinson Sprague Cleghorn - Lyle Odelein Lou Fontinato - Stephane Quintal |

This 3 year criteria really handicaps the Flames. Now I can't include Chris Simon, Stu Grimson, Craig Berube, Jimmy Kyte, Rocky Thompson, The Polish Hammer Oliwa, etc.
But we still have Tim Hunter, Sandy McCarthy for heavy's and Ronnie Stern, Jim Peplinski, Gary Roberts, Iginla for guys that can score and fight. We would have to have Neil Sheehy on Defence, that fumanchu he used to wear was pretty imposing! |
Gary Roberts - Rick Vaive - Wednel Clark
Shayne Corson - Tiger Williams - Darcy Tucker Kris King - Owen Nolan - Tie Domi Colton Orr - John Kordic - Craig Berube Dion Phaneuf - Tim Horton Todd Gill - Rob Ramage Wade Belak - Bob McGill Ed Belfour - Felix Potvin Pat Quinn as coach This line up is just tough guys, there are no centers right left wing etc... just forwards dmen and goalies |

This works a bit better, IMHO Odjick Kurtenbach Williams Fraser Rypien Walker Momesso Scatchard Brashear Hunter Coxe Delorme Snepsts Mcilhargey Richter Butcher Jovo Diduck Cloutier Potvin I especially like the Fraser Rypien Walker line. One of the strongest middleweight combos any team could come up with. They could probably take the Bruins hypothetical MW line of Stock-Linseman-Jonathan. |

How about Jimmy Kyte? And Vernon in the net? He has over 250 PIMs. Stern only played 2 seasons with the Sharks so maybe slip Dody Wood in there. The rest of the list is good though. |
