We’ve got to win another one here in a couple days.’’ (on his shootout saves on good shooters…) It was good. I got fortunate there. I had a couple guys mishandle the puck there. We got two points. That’s all it means. It doesn’t matter how we do it. We got it.’’ (on whether it gets tougher as the shootout goes longer…) You just try to make the save. That’s it. That’s all you try to do. It doesn’t matter how long it goes. You’re just preparing to make the save."

It seems like everybody that we’re chasing and battling with is winning right now. We need every point we can get. We knew this shootout tonight was huge, and Quickie came up big for us. Nice to see Richie get one too.’’ (on his confidence with Quick in goal in the shootout…) “For sure. He brings out confidence in the whole team, the whole game, just the way he plays, especially when you get down to a shootout like that, 1-on-1. He’s going to be ready, so it’s pretty nice."

Like I said, it was a big two points for us. It was nice to get the win, and obviously we need them as much as possible right now.’’ (on the goalies throughout the game…) “Quickie made a bunch of big saves when we needed them most, and Razor made a bunch of big saves for them in the first period. It was a tight-checking game. We had to earn every inch, and luckily we came out with two points.’’ (on his confidence in Quick in the shootout…) “We’re confident in both of the goaltenders. Quickie’s shootout record speaks for itself. We have confidence going in there, because we’ve had some success with it over the past couple years. He’s obviously done well, so we have confidence. Sometimes it feels like all we need is one goal to win."

Overall, It was a decent road trip. Maybe the effort in Columbus was not where we wanted it to be, or the game itself, but we played good in Detroit and we took the positives out (of it). Darryl came in and said that if we play like that, most likely we’re going to win games. We just put it together. Now, it’s that time of the year. In the position we’re in right now, you can’t look back at what happened. You can only look ahead. I know it sounds like that every time, but you have to put it behind you. Whether it was a 7-1 loss or a 3-2 loss, it doesn’t really matter. You’ve got to put it behind you and look ahead and play the games that are coming up."

Obviously both of those kids have had pretty good years, and Quicker has struggled a little bit lately, but the last game that we won, he won it in Nashville. It was funny. I was telling Tony Esposito before the game — he came down to say hi — and he always said that the best goalies in the league can win 1-0 and 8-7 games, and they’re always the first stars. That’s classic, right? The guy who is struggling, who is your No. 1 goalies, goes out and, in a lot of ways, he wins you the game. You line up against Kane and Sharp and Hossa…’’ (on the game…) “It’s a tough building, a good team. How many games have they lost here? Pretty good hockey club."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

L.A Kings Fight Club, first rule of fight club

JBernierFan 03-13-2012 09:49 AM

Let's hope we come out ready to rock, pissed that we let 2 points slip away against them a few nights ago in Detroit! I have faith!

Butch 19 03-13-2012 10:43 AM

To make the playoffs, the Kings need to go something like 8-3-2 over the last 13 games. That would get them to 94 points, which MAY get the 7 or 8 spot (and the ROW numbers do not go in the Kings favor either)

A pretty tall order since they really haven't had a good winning streak all season.

So essentially a must-win game tonight.

Just win. Regulation, OT or SO. Just win.

KingKopitar11* 03-13-2012 11:10 AM

We got thisssss.
