Madison Square Garden Renovations (Part IV)

Here ya go guys, continue.

I wonder how a deep playoff run would throw off the construction :yo:

I figure they must have planned for it. They should have a hard hat giveaway. Presented by Chase.

Horrible idea. This is why I am not in marketing.

We were talking about this the other day, and the prevailing thought was that it would cost the Rangers an even longer road trip to start the season. It could also cost MSG the three Knicks preseason games. So bring on the Cup!

MSG passes out tools to 400 level at last home game and allow you to remove and bring home your seat.
Nice head start for construction crew and cool parting gift for fans.

I'm not in Marketing either.

Last game at yankee stadium in 2008, everyone was virtually strip searched for ratchets and screwdrivers so they didn't try to take a seat home with them. I think one guy did get arrested for trying to unscrew something in the bathroom lol

Here's the last one before someone came in and stamped a Flyers logo on the thread and closed it:

Probably being turned over to Steiner so they can sell them like they did this past season with the seats in the lower bowl.

SwedeAmerican 03-29-2012 09:47 PM

What's happening with the new 300 sections? They're staying, right?

Yes, they're part of the new upper bowl. The only difference next year is they're renumbered to go along with the rest of the new sections.

Kane One 03-29-2012 10:56 PM

I'm wondering how it will look with the mid-level suites in the 300s.

Will there be seats directly over the suites where it would make every seat above the suites closer to the ice?

Yes. The front row will be closer to the ice...albeit raised about 10 feet up due to the new suites below.

Yeah, just look at the end zone 300s. The first row is basically at the front of where the walkway in the 300's is now.

GordonGecko 04-02-2012 12:40 PM

Has anyone tried to use Knicks food vouchers at a Rangers game? 99% sure they'll turn you away with a dirty look, but I'm wondering if someone has tried

ChipAyten 04-02-2012 02:51 PM

I've always love how the garden was a single bowl (save 400s) rather than being tiered like most arenas. It made it so easy going from section to section. But times change. The building will be a little bit louder as well due to the steeper seating.

GordonGecko 04-27-2012 09:42 AM

Any plans to fix the lighting for next season? The shadows on the ice are really bad...

GordonGecko 05-12-2012 10:36 PM

PUT DOWN THOSE SHOVELS, you got another month to wait!!

A state-of-the-art refrigeration system & ice plant at arena floor level would be nice...

Giglio NYR15 05-12-2012 11:09 PM

IM pretty sure they said they prepared for playoff runs in the schedule.

That's in phase three I believe.

nyrmetros 05-13-2012 05:52 AM

I wonder how renovations at Penn Station are going to help us as well.

HagsSwag 05-13-2012 08:22 AM

Can someone please tell me what sections (and rows if possible) have obstructed view? Trying to get into MSG cheap for the Devs series but not trying to have my top of the arena view further hampered by obstruction. Thank you.
