Who is your 2012 MN Wild team MVP?

I would have to say Brodzy although I was inclined to say Spurgeon.

Puhis 03-29-2012 11:45 PM

Kyle Brodziak AINEC.

rynryn 03-29-2012 11:49 PM

the guy with the biggest confederate flag on the back of his truck.

what if two guys are tied for biggest flag? do we use hanging testicles as a tie breaker.

Brodziak/Spurgeon are about the only two who deserve to be talked about

Every player has disappeared for long periods of time. And no leadership from anybody! I give the medical staff MVP. They've been busy.

I'd say Brodziak.

As for defenseman, definitely Spurgeon.

rynryn 03-29-2012 11:55 PM

Brodz most definitely.

spurgeon? for sucking less than all the other defensemen? you get an award for that?

Fel 96 03-29-2012 11:58 PM

Spurgeon has been the most consistent defenseman till he got injured twice.

Also, I thought he looked good defensively when he played. Let's just hope his concussion won't affect his play much.

The best thing Heater has done is the fact that he has played every game...which is no small feat.

SphinX 03-30-2012 12:23 AM

Colton Gillies

Haite 03-30-2012 12:25 AM

Fun fact about Heatley; from Feb 16th and onwards, Mikko has one more goal than Dany. (Of course, Heater had a goal on Feb 14th, and Mikko happened to have his on Feb 16th, but that'd just make the fact less entertaining :sarcasm:)

I'd say Brodz has been the MVP.

No way! Zid for sure!

Oh, having another look at the stats, Brodz has been a PPG player for the last 10 games.

llamapalooza 03-30-2012 12:31 AM

Over the last month, my genuine vote is Veilleux.

Over the rest of the year...vacant.

I was expecting "Zucker" :sarcasm:

SphinX 03-30-2012 12:35 AM

What if we just made Zucker this years MVP? Or Paul Deutch for that matter.

Would make a nice statement..

tomgilbertfan 03-30-2012 12:36 AM

Tony DaCosta.

We haven't had one equipment truck fire this year!

He's showed up. He's played. He's produced.

He may not be flashy or a 50 goal scorer anymore, but he is the only damned player to show up for every game this season and actually be out there looking like he is doing something for most of them.

Runner up: Brodz

Runner Runner Up: Veilleux. I dont care what people think, I want this guy back next season on the fourth line. The guy is a giant bag of ****ing insane on the ice and that's the kind of renegade toughness we really could have used earlier this year when jerkwads like Bogosian, Ott, and McLeod were tossing our guys into the boards left and right. He's been the most fun guy to watch ever since he got here and he brings a ton of energy to the team. Alternate him and Kassian next year based on matchups.

Northland Wild Man 03-30-2012 12:56 AM

I have to say Brodziak, but Heatley is right up there with him.

thestonedkoala 03-30-2012 01:09 AM

Glad someone else likes Veilleux. One of the more important pickups IMO this year. Brought some life back to the forwards and gave us a guy that doesn't take gruff from anyone.

jonlin 03-30-2012 01:15 AM

U guys actually think that

21 C KYLE BRODZIAK 77 21 22 43 -14

is better than

9 C MIKKO KOIVU 50 12 28 40 9

Also the fact that after Mikko`s injury Wild started loosing games. Maybe 1+1=2?

If Brodziak is MVP of the Wild - :help:

ProfessorMcFatty 03-30-2012 01:20 AM

Brodz has had a career year. I'm astonished that he's just shy of Heater in points, especially since he doesn't see nearly as many minutes. But I've been impressed with a few others too.

Johnson had a breakout year.
Heater continues to give it his all.
Koivu is almost a ppg.
Hacket has shown great potential.
Seto had a rough start, but given the state of the team, I'm still satisfied.

This season sucked about as much as possible, but I've got big hopes for next year.
