GDT: Jackets @ Blues, 8PM EST March 31st

OK, I didn't know if there was a rule in here about who starts the GDT thread but...who do you guys think gets the nod in net tonight?

I believe TR will start York but...three starts in four nights is a lot. He played college hockey whoch only plays weekends and he basically rusted on the bench all this season so he isn't a "carry the load" goaltender yet. Not to mention he had to fill in for Mase twice this past week. If York starts tonight, that would be his fifth appearance in seven nights.

This team isn't going anywhere and York can still close out the season...after tonight. Perhaps giving Hunwick the start is not the worst idea.

DoggyII 03-31-2012 11:07 AM

BTW, Shawn Mitchell tweeted that John Moore is "questionable" for tonight. CBJ need to decide quick...if he can't play they need to recall someone.

Springfield is home and tougher flight to St Louis. Express are in Cincy, perhaps Steven Delisle gets called up in a pinch?

Hunwick wouldn't be a bad option, but York has been playing quite well. If he isn't too tired, why not keep rewarding him for his play? It doesn't make sense to just sit him for the heck of it.

Tonight is clearly a battle for which team truly loves Ken Hitchcock :p: And I want to see either goalie play well regardless of who is in net.

Tweets say Moore isn't playing...Goloubef is! Welcome to the NHL kid!

ClevelandJacketFan 03-31-2012 11:18 AM

I don't care who is playing, what the standings are, or if we are about to trade someone or not.

Beat the Blows.

Indeed, a reason to watch.

Record low viewing tonight, with the game going head-to-head with Ohio State. In fact, I've lost interest alrea

I'd never choose OSU anything over the CBJ. I grew up in Cleveland suburbs and never have gotten into the college sports frenzy down here, even though its been 22 years in Cbus now for me. As far as the March Madness, I did jump on the Bobcat bandwagon, but my kids are both students down there, so it made sense in the moment.

Goooooo Jackets!

Guys are playing well...ish but the Blues have the best home record in the league and Hitch has them focused. 3-1 Blews w/ empty net

I can't wait to see how Golo plays. Big fan

We really do have a solid D core forming. If everyone could just stay healthy for a change..

CBJCougar 03-31-2012 12:40 PM

I'll be home tonight to watch and look forward to an exciting time.

pete goegan 03-31-2012 12:52 PM

I watch with the sound off, anyway, and will switch back and forth between Jackets and Bucks. Since the hockey starts at 8 and the basketball won't get going till 9, or so, they both may fit very well into my Saturday night entertainment.

DoggyII 03-31-2012 12:54 PM

I hope Ohio State wins but IMO basketball is an incredibly boring sport. I'll be watching the CBJ.

Jaxs 03-31-2012 12:58 PM

I will have two tvs going. My wife will be yelling at the Buckeyes, and I will be yelling at the Jackets. My Jacket apathy has waned a bit since the last two outings.

Our dog will be in one of the bedrooms waiting for the games to be over!

This could be York's Waterloo. Blues have dominated us in their building. But, hoping for a good game.

leafobserver 03-31-2012 01:07 PM

York plays. Guy hasn't played a lot of games anywhere this year so he shouldn't be fatigued. 2 straight wins doesn't hurt either.

My guess is Hunwick plays one game. April 5 @ COL. We all know why.

A tiny bit of sunshine in a dismal year for CBJ.

We all don't know why...I need some enlightening.

Matt 03-31-2012 01:28 PM

DoggyII 03-31-2012 01:33 PM

Pssssssssst... one and one together is two!!

plong123 03-31-2012 02:08 PM

Typical CBJ season... we lock up last place, all the pressure is off, and we play really good hockey. 4-3 CBJ. Goloubef with a helper in his first game. I'll be watching on my Game Center app. Thanks, Blue Hair Guy.

Same here. If CBJ played the very same time the Buckeyes played a National Football Championship game, I would be watching the Jackets. No sports events ever come before the CBJ, even a CBJ team playing a meaningless game in late March.

Crede777 03-31-2012 03:48 PM

Excited to see Goloubef play. With him and Prout in the lineup, any guesses as to how many minutes Jack Johnson and Nikita Nikitin play? 40 each?
