Pittsburgh led 3-0 past the game's midway stage but Andre Lacroix tied the score with the Flyers' first goal of the third period. Dick Sarrazin (0-4-4) assisted on the last four goals and became the first Flyer to have four assists in a game. Myron Stankiewicz (0-2-2), who was in the box when the winning goal was scored, recorded two assists (he ended his career with seven assists in 35 career NHL games). Doug Favell made 26 saves. My prediction, a PA hockey team wins!

Flyersfan1493 03-31-2012 08:41 PM

Darn it.

On the app I have on my phone, it says this game is 7:30, and one of my tutees asked if we could meet on Sunday, so I said "Sure, how about 3?"

So looks like I'm going to miss most of the third period.

StandingCow 03-31-2012 09:09 PM

Please win!

Gert B Frobe 04-01-2012 12:51 AM

Bob looked like a guy that needs another 68 starts in the AHL today. Let's hope his NHL experience counts for something tomorrow.

As always - the Flyers success will hinge on the goaltender not sucking.

SolidSnakeUS 04-01-2012 01:12 AM

This game might not turn out well...

Eric Lindros 04-01-2012 07:40 AM

It's a conspiracy by the league (with the help of NBC) to have the Penguins win!!!!!

Consider:

Flyers played yesterday, Penguins haven't played since Friday. An extra 7 hours of rest would have made a difference for the Flyers legs... not so for the Penguins. Flyers at a disadvantage there.

Also, league obviously looked at the Flyers' afternoon record and decided they couldn't chance the Flyers playing well at night, so they moved it up.

Now obviously there's no conspiracy, but both the above remain disadvantages, so it sucks that the game got moved up. I expect the Flyers to get outworked early in this, and hopefully the significance of the game wakes them up after that.

Also, if they lose, would anyone like to see them lose most or the rest of their games so they can have Florida in the first? I think if they go down 5 points on the Penguins with only three games to play after today, there's no way they can reach 4th.

Vikke 04-01-2012 08:06 AM

It'd be nice to score first. I'mma take a nap before the game.

Kaktus* 04-01-2012 08:46 AM

Bbroooooooovsky...
What kind of game is he going to bring?
