Well we have played crappy lately, but this game is a Huge game seeing as we only play them once and the last few meetings have been decided by just one single goal. i just want a good game and hopefully a panther win in regulation. we need points. no excuses.

Oh man, still drunk, just poured my Panthers heart out on a post on this stupid hotel computer, and it crashed :cry:
So, long story short, I am in Windsor, soon Detroit, pumped to see the boys for the first time this year.
Sorry for the rare posts everyone. I am moved into my new house, and don't have internet and not on my phone either.
Going to the game with 8 peeps today, most of them Wings fans. 3 of the girls are Leafs fans, so I brought all my Panthers jerseys and they will be sporting them with me :yo:
I will be wearing either my old Panthers red with autographs from the '03 entry draft in Toronto, or my old blue Bouwmeester jersey :help: :laugh: ( I know, I want a new red so bad but everywhere I look they are $125 or up. :help: I will also have my large '6X'3 red Panthers flag with me. I will be sitting in the upper bowl, but don't have the section, as I left my tickets in the room.
I am so excited I drank like a little kid on Xmas last night , well maybe not like that :laugh: I ran into one Panther fan on my wobbly travels last night. Didn't get to talk much as we were bar hoping hard last night. Also ran into one guy on the elevator at the end of the night who said "Panthers Suck". My girlfriend gave me a nervous look as I was intoxicated and normally would of let him taste my fist, but the sucker already had blood all over his shirt, so in my mind I feel like that Panther fan I met last night already got to him :laugh::laugh::yo:
I have been cheering hard from home guys, so don't think I gave up on you all or the boys, just lacking the internet. Hopefully the game is on Foxsports today for you all. I have enough coin saved up to make a one night trip to Florida to see a playoff game *knock on wood* and am so looking forward to meeting you all.
Anyways I should go, a very large person is giving me the stare down for the computer.

Now that the Jets are officially eliminated, I'll be cheering for the Panthers - love how your front office has turned this team around from last year in a very convincing manner. You guys should be proud of the way the team has gotten the job done so far. Pushing for you to win the SE, and make some noise in the playoffs.

Any point(s) from this game would be a huge success. Let's go for it. I assume Clemmer is starting, especially since last time I remember him playing versus Detroit he stole the game and we won either 1-0 or 2-1.

Don't worry guys, we will win because I am going to the game. If you see a super tired scruffy guy in a Bure jersey by the penalty box, that's me. Super excited to finally see the team :D But honestly speaking, in typical Panthers fashion I expect that after sucking hard against all the bottom feeders that we will blow out a top team on the road. Heading over to the arena in an hour to enjoy all the trash talk from the Wings fans :)

im watching the pens and flyers on nbc and they might as well be playing a different sport. The level of hockey played between those two teams is a different level than the panthers not just talent wise but systematically different as well.

I know what you mean. They could be in a league of their own. Every player always knows where to be. They all read each other so well. Every play is a tic tac toe amazing play.

Unbelievable how good those teams are. Well coached, majorly skilled = amazing hockey.

it's amazing. the intensity and quality of the hockey those teams are playing... when we played philly, it was not that kind of game. and it wasn't just the difference in talent. i don't even think that was the primary difference.

speaking of the team in general, a growing concern of mine is the effect of the scratches - dineen and tallon were/are in a tough place as we needed the bodies 2-3 months ago and now, there's really nothing that can be done about them. however, i think the process by which players are inserted/removed is harming our room and team dynamic now. many the guys who are being yo-yo'd are on expiring contracts and the psychological effect of current rotation system on their motivation and investment could be huge. we could be seeing the effect of losing the investment of the 9 guys competing for the bottom six spots, the guys we need to be selling out for the team in crunch time. not sure what dineen could be doing differently other than just settling on his 12 forwards and limiting the rotation.
