April 9 & 10 lines and D posted: Grossmann (knee) and Briere (back) both practiced

Lower body injury (possibly knee). Out for the Sunday, April 1 game.

Further update will follow.

Official wording by the team:
Quote:

Nicklas Grossmann has a lower-body injury and will NOT return to today's game.

Philadelphia Ducks 04-01-2012 12:36 PM

Man this sucks. Hopefully it's only a stinger.

bp spec 04-01-2012 12:39 PM

Damn, he has turned out to be a very important piece for our D.

Alchemy 04-01-2012 12:42 PM

Hopefully its just real sore. No real damage done to the knee.

JagerPuck 04-01-2012 12:52 PM

Missed the 1st period. What happened?

Knee on knee hit with Vitale.

Alchemy 04-01-2012 12:54 PM

PL said he was in good spirits in his interview so it must not be serious. Just a precautionary procedure.

AKA career ending injury.

MiamiScreamingEagles 04-01-2012 01:17 PM

Laviolette commenting on an injury is a bit surprising. He usually deflects comments to Holmgren as is protocol.

StandingCow 04-01-2012 01:17 PM

Wish this was an april fools joke. :(

Good to hear he seems to be fine. Cant afford another D man on the injured list.

thelos 04-01-2012 02:58 PM

hopefully he isn't out long

SolidSnakeUS 04-01-2012 03:04 PM

Hopefully he can be good to go next game and that it's nothing serious.

Kaktus* 04-01-2012 03:21 PM

So, is it serious?

MiamiScreamingEagles 04-01-2012 03:22 PM

From the Flyers:

Nick Grossmann is day-to-day with a lower-body injury

Danny Briere has no injury.

buff 04-01-2012 07:01 PM

I too hope Gross is hockey. At first I was hoping he was baseball, but now I'm hoping he is hockey.

Love this guy. We'll need him in a 7 gamer with Pitts. The only Flyers to not miss a game this year are Hartnell and Coburn correct?

Coburn was out with a neck/upper torso injury after his awkward hit into the boards by I want to say a penguin.

J.Staal

GoneFullHolmgren 04-01-2012 11:18 PM

yeah it was a hit from Staal that caused Coburn to miss a game. Staal was fined 2,500 for the "hit"
