Fel 96 04-01-2012 10:10 PM

Nice win.

Feels good man.

Avder 04-01-2012 10:10 PM

Well that answers my question.

So depressed. Wish I could feel good about the win, because I know it's great to end the season on a high note, but after watching this team not care about anything for the past three months I just feel more bitter than the most over-hops'd beer or cheap cup of coffee.

Dee Oh Cee 04-01-2012 10:11 PM

I am especially happy with Setoguchi...if he can continue to play like that he will be a huge asset.

ShutDownDefense 04-01-2012 10:12 PM

This one is too humble to suggest that Fel 96 is drunk with power with his new mod status.

Minnesota 04-01-2012 10:13 PM

Posted this in the Non-Wild NHL News thread, but I feel that it applies here too.

For everyone worrying about our draft position.

Safe to say #26 will be back next year for the SO's alone!

How much should we offer him?

I'm sticking with my two-way or very cheap suggestion. One year deal. Tell him to prove it.

Avder 04-01-2012 10:18 PM

And on a lighter note, I cant wait until tonights vBookie event gets settled so we can watch The Lounge explode even further.

Yeah this wasn't his best game, I didn't really notice him much other than when he missed the open net, but I still really like him and he is gold in the shootouts IMO

I don't know how much they should offer him cuz who knows he might not perform like this next year, or it could take him a while to perform like it did this year

Agree with the two-way. How much is "very cheap?"

The guy's almost single-handedly gotten the team some tough points with his shootout skills. Wish he was more defensively responsible.

If we're just talking shootouts....$100,000 + HFBoard moderating privileges + an appearance in 2 Treasure Island Casino commercials + a signing bonus including 1 FSN Girl.

Deal hinges on which FSN girl we offer him... Who do you go with?

Short Brunette, or... Shorter Brunette?

I don't think the Wild can get him for less than league minimum...just saying. ;)

I have a feeling one of them will be voted off the island for new short brunette. In that case he'll go with short brunette.

Honestly, 850k two-way.

where do we fit EC in, and isn't Granlund a shootout wizard (minus against sweded and also a usable player otherwise?

i just don't see a fit for him, sure we can offer him league minimum but the fact is this man was non existent when we needed him to step up, too ****ing late now in my honest and worthless opinion, sure he can help in a shootout.

the better question is why don't we take that money and invest in a better broadcaster, you know someone who can match a name to a number, or know that a guy is done for the year? or hell not confuse THE STIFFMEISTER with a CPU?

In my mind i say we cut him loose, just no room for him on this team, i would rather use that money on a guy who will help us win before we get to a SO, specially if we go to the 3pts for regulation win, 2 for SO win that we need to go to.

Northland Wild Man 04-01-2012 10:30 PM

Wow a post game thread. Good work everyone and I am on board for the league minimum or possibly 50K more.

We still need some depth. If we can get him for a league minimum two-way contract I think that helps us out a lot and gives us more insurance for when injuries hit next year, because you know we are going to have at least some injury trouble, hopefully not nearly as much as this year, but we should be ready with some decent players to call up.

Plus if he has an awesome camp that would show us that he is serious. Potentially start him off at 2C and move Cullen down to a 3rd winger.

He gives us a few options.

And oh god yes please fire Terhaar and Greenlay.

If we sign him to a 2-way, he can be sent down to Houston and used as a call-up when we get injuries.

There's always room in Houston. ;)
