Indeed, Desharnais was 2nd. Let's not name the man for this thread's sake.

Congratulations to one hell of a badass who never lets down even if his team is dead last. :yo:

ClasslessGuy 04-03-2012 11:18 AM

Desharnais.....

Tremblay article coming soon!

Watsatheo 04-03-2012 11:25 AM

The trophy is for the Habs unsung hero. Not sure why people would be mad that Deharnais didn't win, if anything the more people that complain the more it proves that he wasn't 'unsung'. Gorges leads the league in blocks on a team that has been out of the playoffs for a while. I think it's good to reward playing every game like a playoff game.

Go Habs Go 04-03-2012 11:31 AM

Well deserved :handclap:

LyricalLyricist 04-03-2012 11:40 AM

Can't go wrong with gorges.

habitue* 04-03-2012 11:44 AM

Very well deserved ! Captain material.

:handclap:

Myron Gaines* 04-03-2012 11:47 AM

Well deserved captain.

Crimson Skorpion 04-03-2012 11:48 AM

Leads the league in blocked shots.
Leads the team in +/-.
3rd on the team in hits, with 125.

The most recognition he's probably gotten this year is a few kind words and a good ol' thumbs up from Don Cherry on an episode of Coach's Corner.

Well deserved, Gorges! :handclap:

Toastman 04-03-2012 12:00 PM

If only he was captain of a team in the WHL at one point, than he would have gotten more recognition.

I love this guy !

Holy f.... just checked the stats. He's indeed the league's leader in blocked shots, and not by just a few. :amazed:

Habs 4 Life 04-03-2012 12:11 PM

Congrats to the future captain of the Montreal Canadiens:handclap:

you dont go down, or step in front of that many shots just cause.
He got his big ass contract and did not let up. I dont understand when ppl mention the core of this team his name is never brought up. He's the leader in that Core. You cant have a core without leadership and dedication.

After Saku and Kovalev, I havent seen anyone as dedicated to this team for a prolonged period as him

Not sure if anyone can confirm this, but I heard he used to be captain for the Kelowna Rockets.

Do you think Réjean is reading your post ? Does it really matter what he thinks and write ?

I got confirmation that he indeed was e(5)

snakeye 04-03-2012 12:26 PM

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but at one point in his career he captained the Kelowna Rockets. No doubt he's a great leader.

HH 04-03-2012 12:47 PM

Rejean mad

ClasslessGuy 04-03-2012 12:59 PM

Still don't understand the Kelowna rockets captain jokes....

No Style Points 04-03-2012 01:40 PM

Congrats to Josh. :handclap:

I too would like an explanation of the Kelowna Rockets in-joke.

Also, Emelin 3rd place? Pretty cool. :yo:

MarkovsKnee 04-03-2012 01:44 PM

Congrats to Josh. Well deserved. Hopefully, we have a better D next year & you don't have to block so many damn shots.

overlords 04-03-2012 01:49 PM

Started as a joke. Became a meme. Now is a tradition.
