1st round playoff dates/times

Called the rangers today, confirmed game 1 is next Thursday (7/730pm), game 2 is Saturday. I'm going to the Saturday game, hope it's at 7pm, love when MSG gets a little rowdy

Just wanted to let you guys know if anyone's going to the game, LETS GO RANGERS!!!:handclap:

SnowblindNYR 04-04-2012 07:51 PM

Yes! I have a happy hour on Friday that I didn't want to interfere with the game.

broadwayblue 04-04-2012 07:54 PM

This confirms what we've been expecting due to the Knicks playing at MSG on the 13th. Too bad I'll be on an airplane during game 2. At least I'm flying to paradise. lol

AdamBanks99 04-04-2012 08:18 PM

i would anticipate saturday being a 3pm start on NBC.

Rangers Fail 04-04-2012 08:18 PM

Awesome. I should definately be able to go to the first two games. Can't wait for the playoffs! went to Game 4 last year. Obviously, it was a horrible ending, but the atmosphere, especially during the second, was incredible. It felt like the roof would be blown off.

NYRFAN218 04-04-2012 08:35 PM

Rest of the series schedule should be interesting. Based on the past, there is always a 2 day break at some point in the series. If we play the Caps, the Wizards are home Wednesday the 18th which would mess up the every other day scenario.

He doesn't need to call it off. He just needs to move the ceremony and reception in time and location. First, have the ceremony at 1 and say the reception from 2-6:30 (or change it if the game is earlier). Then make sure it's at the 33rd & 8th sidewalk. Classy, and you still get to go to the game!

It's all about the ear buds and pocket radio

No, he needs to call it off. :sarcasm: JK. Congrats, dude.

Now to get back on topic, good thing the game isn't on Wednesday. I want to see Strasburg pitch.

SnowblindNYR 04-04-2012 10:10 PM

Forget it that was corny as hell.

I had a co-worker who had his wedding scheduled for a Saturday in June94 worried that the finals would overshadow his big day between the Knicks and the Rangers. The Knicks back then were 10x as big of a story as the Rangers. He lucked out and both series ended on weeknights.
My aunt got married during the 1969 WS with the Mets and though I was very young I don,t let her forget it. !

See, that's why you have to plan things out better. Get married in the offseason. 9/8/12 for me...

Although, you could always get a big screen tv for the reception....

Ha ha, I got married in June, during a Red Sox/ Yankees weekend series. Had some Sox fans at my wedding and along with me and my family (yankee fans) we spent a ton of time at the hotel bar watching the game. Luckily it was only a regular season game in June.

I'd also be curious to see the full schedule since I am on nights next week, and the week after, hoping for either a 3 or 7 game on Saturday. And if it is 7 it better not be on NBCSN, because I wont' be able to watch it at work.

Schedule will be announced Sunday but game 1 will definitely be Thursday as MSG has a concert Wednesday and the Knicks Friday.

You're going to be married the rest of your life but the Rangers are only going to be in the playoffs for a small amount of time per year.

Obviously the Rangers are more important.

Levitate 04-05-2012 08:32 AM

Awesome, I was afraid it'd start on Wednesday and I really want to play frisbee on Wednesday

Abooch68 04-05-2012 08:34 AM

I hope there is no need for a game 7 in the first round but if there is I hope it's on a Tuesday.. haha
