Who's Coming up big for us in the playoffs? [Forwards Edition]

Who do you think will come up big for us in the playoffs that isn't the "usual suspect."

In other words, outside of Gabs, Henrik, Richards, Cally who's gonna be our top 3 forwards.

I went with AA. I really like how his game has progressed this year (maybe not so much on the scoreboard as of yet) but I got a feeling hes gonna be a .6 PPG player in the playoffs w/ some great play in all 3 zones.

Tanner Glass 04-06-2012 08:21 AM

From the past, and his recent play, it's gotta be Dubi

ShutThePuckUp 04-06-2012 08:22 AM

Carl Hagelin.

NYR Viper 04-06-2012 08:27 AM

Brian Boyle. He has been coming on lately and going hard to the net.

JayQueensNY88* 04-06-2012 08:27 AM

I really was thinking Dubinsky or Boyle when i saw thread title...I have a gut feeling Boyle is going to be big time.yes he is a good hockey player and is heating up...

I voted Boyle....

SupersonicMonkey* 04-06-2012 08:28 AM

Dubinsky, Boyle, Stepan, Fedotenko

Onion Boy 04-06-2012 08:31 AM

Maybe not offensively, but I think Prust will stand out.

He's been quiet for the past few weeks, but I think he'll play a great physical game, setting the tone, and chipping in with some timely goals.

Jabroni 04-06-2012 08:42 AM

Petr Prucha.

But seriously, I voted for Dubi.

NYRSchrute217 04-06-2012 09:43 AM

Stepan. Kid is a winner

Killem Dafoe 04-06-2012 09:49 AM

Boyle. He's already getting into beast mode. He's gunna be great.

Mr Bojanglez 04-06-2012 09:57 AM

as a non-biased hockey fan, Fedotenko

HatTrick Swayze 04-06-2012 10:02 AM

Could be anyone, but I went with (a healthy) Stepan. Kid has ice in his veins and noes how to execute under pressure.

AdamBanks99 04-06-2012 10:09 AM

the playoffs are dubinsky's time of year.

Hanke 04-06-2012 10:10 AM

Boyle.. He's been scoring goals and playing fine hockey of late.

Silence Of The Plams 04-06-2012 10:22 AM

Boyle, he's showing up now

SingnBluesOnBroadway 04-06-2012 10:50 AM

The fact that Boyle and Dubinsky have started scoring a bit lately is amazingly encouraging.

Ih8theislanders 04-06-2012 10:55 AM

Said a few days ago, I think Boyle will have a very good playoffs.

OverTheCap 04-06-2012 10:59 AM

I think Dubi and Boyle. They are well-suited for the physicality of the playoffs. Dubi has performed well in past playoffs.

Feds also has been good lately and he was one of our best players in last season's playoffs. That entire line is really coming on as of late.

I am not so sure about Stepan. He hasn't been playing well the past few weeks. Just like last year, it seems like he has more struggles with his skating as the season progresses. I can picture him getting snuffed out by some of the more physical teams.

Garfinkel1 04-06-2012 01:23 PM

I love how

A) When we traded a 3rd round pick for Boyle everyone was calling for his head...

B) Mid-season people wanted him off this team.

Now, he's a front runner for coming up BIG for us in the playoffs.

I would say a GREAT player to snag with a third round pick.

Boyle will have a massive post-season.

Inferno 04-06-2012 01:24 PM

going Hagelin. I think he's going to raise his game.

That's what I think. If Hagelin keeps improving and Dubinsky goes back to his 2010-11 next season, and Kreider proves competent on the third line, we will suddenly have our LW problems solved. This would also allow the team to move Anisimov back to third line center, making our center corps excellent as well.

While Boyle's goals dropped off this year, he actually got a career-high in assists.

Bird Law 04-06-2012 01:35 PM

AA has regressed all year so perhaps he finally does something.

Thinking Rupp will be huge for us for some reason.
