KINGS face-off against CANUCKS tonight @ Staples Center Game #4 ... BE LOUD - BE PROUD !!!

I think they reacted like any team would, when one of their better players gets hit like that. It’s part of playoff hockey. He returned and kept on playing, and that’s just how it goes.’’ (on whether the hit gave the Kings some momentum…) “I think it’s a spark of energy. We didn’t play, I think, as good as we could have in the first. It was just one of those games that was kind of in between for everyone involved. I think it gave us a lot of energy. Coming back from a hit like that, though, we’ve got to get a power-play goal after a play like that.
Hockey is a funny game. It’s ups and downs, confidence. It’s just getting into a rhythm when you’re feeling good. I’ve been just really focusing on keeping my game probably a little more simple than I did early in the season. When you do that, good things start to happen."

Quickie’s been awesome again for us and we came up with the goal and held the lead.” (on Dustin Brown’s playoff surge…) “Yeah, not too shabby. [laughs] We need him to keep going like that. (His physical play) means everything to us. That’s what he has to do on a daily basis to be a force out there. Obviously, he wants to do it and we need him to do it, so tonight was probably one of the best games he’s played in a long time. I guess the one in Vancouver was not too bad either. We need everybody to play like that."

We killed that penalty, and they were coming at us. We got an icing. Just to get out of that little sequence was huge. Quickie was huge all night. He made big saves everywhere. He was all over the crease, all over the net. Give him a lot of credit tonight.’’ (on being out of sync offensively early…) “A little bit, yeah. We didn’t create much. Shots were down. Scoring chances, definitely. Just getting those loose pucks on the forecheck, our forecheck wasn’t very good. We’ve got to get better.’’ (on the Kings’ confidence with Quick in net in a tight game…) “We know we’ve been there plenty of times before, and he’s been there with us. We just have that feeling with him, him with us. It’s just a battle. We got out there and we battle our butts off for him, and he does for us, and we know he’s going to make big saves when he needs to, and he did tonight. We need to be better in front of him, for sure.’’ (on leading 3-0 in the series, with two days off coming up…) “We’ve just got to stay composed, even-keel for sure, just take it one day here. Take care of ourselves, take care of our bodies, get some food in us, get a lot of water and get back to practice.’’ (on Dustin Brown’s game…) “Again, he was huge. He scores the goal. He’s hitting everything that moves. It’s playoff hockey from our leader."

It was a huge team effort there. We battled for 60 minutes, hard, and got one late there that was huge.” (on getting a playoff win on home ice…) “It was excellent. If you look at past playoffs, we haven’t fared as well at home so it was great to get everything moving in the right direction on home ice here tonight.” (on the Kings’ ability to block shots…) “That’s what I was saying earlier, not a lot of pucks got through on the ones I was unable to see. Guys sacrificing all over the ice and making sure they weren’t getting through. They’ve been doing it all year and they did a great job tonight. That’s something that everybody expects out of each other and it’s something they’ve done really well."

Hey, we’ve got another game to win here. They’ve got a high-powered team, and they’re going to come back. We know they’re going to have a good game. We’ve just got to keep playing. We’re lucky to be in this situation right now. We’ve just got to keep playing our game and keep going."

It was a great job by him tonight, and to get that win was huge.’’ (on leading 3-0 in the series, with two days off coming up…) “We can’t take our foot off the pedal. We’ve got to keep going. We’ve got three days off, and we have to make sure we’re refocused. We have to start focusing on the next game at hand. It’s another must-win game. We don’t want to give them any momentum by winning one game in our barn and then taking it back to theirs. It’s a huge game, and a must-win.’’ (on whether Dustin Brown’s hit on Henrik Sedin changed the momentum…) “I don’t know. It was definitely a big hit by Brownie. That was one of the better hits I’ve seen in a long time. To do it on a star player, their best player, is just an ever keyer part. It definitely gave us some momentum, to show that our leadership was the showing the way to go. We’ve all just got to follow that.’’ (on Brown’s play in this series…) “He has scored some huge goals for us, and at the same time he’s playing well defensively and making those big hits. That’s what we need from our captain. He’s leading, on and off the ice, and scoring big goals like that is going to take us a long way."

There hasn’t been any one, driving thing.’’ (on Dustin Penner moving up to play with Mike Richards…) “We were just moving our left wingers around, quite honestly. Kinger [Dwight King] can play with any of those guys, and Brownie plays his off side, so we’ve lost two left wingers during the series and we had to move guys around.’’ (on Dustin Brown’s game…) “Yeah, he was huge again tonight. From the way he plays, he was really good again. … That’s why he’s our captain.’’ (on whether the game picked up after Brown’s hit on Henrik Sedin…) “I think it picked up the after-the-whistle stuff, that’s for sure.’’ (on not relaxing with a 3-0 series lead…) “We’ll deal with that in the next two days. We still have to learn how to win, right? You don’t get nothing for three. … I think the toughest part of winning, when you have four-out-of-seven (series), is the first game. The the second game gets tougher. Then the third game gets tougher. Then the fourth game gets tougher. And that is a fact. … I know how tough it can be to win a fourth game.’’ (on whether he’s expecting even better from Vancouver in Game 4…) “I think that would be a good way of approaching it, so that our team doesn’t relax.’’ (on what he said to the team in the second intermission…) “Nothing I don’t normally say.’’ (on staying composed, with penalties…) “There is a composure factor that has to come into it, if you want to be a good playoff player or a good playoff team or a good playoff coach. There is a composure factor there and if you can spread that around a little bit that’s good."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Let's Go Kings! BELIEVE! Go out hard and upset them!

ru4reals 04-18-2012 01:09 AM

Am I the only one who's nervous about this game? Man close out games are the hardest for sure. Just freakin win!

Kings man 4 life 04-18-2012 01:13 AM

I'm nervous but I know this team can finish the sweep!
http://www.animateit.net/data/media/185/broomswp.gif ... I think I found my playoff Avatar can someone make a Avatar of the broom brushing aside a flopping Kesler?

I Am Ziggy Palffy 04-18-2012 01:15 AM

SO the game will be on FSN? Don't have NBCSN

Shellz 04-18-2012 01:16 AM

My stomach is in knots already.

CTKingsFan 04-18-2012 01:19 AM

Reminder for Direct TV users:

Since the game is only gonna be on NBC Sports and the Pens/Flyers game may still be going on at the start of the Kings game you can watch the Kings game from the start on channel 604-1.

Alisa 04-18-2012 01:19 AM

Huge game. With the way we've been playing, and the way our D has been shutting them down, and how Quick's mind seems to be in the game, I have every confidence the Kings will come out hard and finish this off tonight at home.

As much as I will miss defeating the Canucks and making their fans cry, I'm ready to call this one done in 4.

Show them your all tonight.
Go Kings Go!

Game is only gonna be on NBC Sports. No fox sports broadcast.

CTKingsFan 04-18-2012 01:22 AM

Funny thing about this game is I'm probably more nervous with the Kings being up 3-0 then if they were down 2-1. As a Kings fan I know what being down 2-1 feels like. Being up 3-0 is new and scary!

Nope. No more Bob and Jim unless the Kings can't close them out tomorrow :( (If that's correct, ha)

Bad Will Hunting 04-18-2012 01:27 AM

Nobody **** this up.

Fishhead 04-18-2012 01:49 AM

I expect the team to come out much better than last game. The home game jitters should be gone.

Let's do this. I want that team eliminated by 22:00 hours.

Belanger25 04-18-2012 02:04 AM

They need to finish them, lets go boys.
