NHL 13 cover voting underway, vote Sharp

covervote.nhl.com

3 Hawks in 4 years would be insane and would piss off a lot of people. Whether you play the game or not, let's get it done.

You can start voting for Sharp on May 3rd.

Judrix 04-25-2012 04:15 PM

that would be a joke if Sharp got on the cover, lol.

Exactly, I'm more interested in the chaos than anything else. I'm going to try to post this link on flash mob websites and asian websites, lol.

TorMenT 04-25-2012 04:36 PM

That would be funny, but he does not deserve it like players like Giroux or Malkin do. I would laugh if it happened.

IU Hawks fan 04-25-2012 05:10 PM

It'd be comedic gold if it got done

MurrayBannerman 04-25-2012 05:18 PM

Two words: Peyton Hillis

DisgruntledHawkFan 04-25-2012 05:45 PM

Should go to Malkin or Giroux.

If you are a true Hawks fan you vote AGAINST Sharp. Every round. Who wants to deal with that curse?

Kane had a career best 88 points after being on the cover for NHL10.. and the Hawks kinda won the Cup.

Jonathan Toews had a career best 76 points after being on the cover of NHL11.. the Hawks were eliminated after a spirited (almost) comeback against Vancouver.

It's not a curse anymore.. if it ever was.

HawksFan74 04-25-2012 07:26 PM

Giroux deserves it.

OK, maybe it's just a Madden NFL curse then. :)

There never was an NHL Games curse since they put the SuperStars that aren't everywhere in the league on the cover yearly.

NFL has a "curse" because they like to put guys on the cover after they had outstanding career years and that generally boas bad for the next season... especially at the fragile RB which they have chosen often.

Sharp doesn't deserve it but the amount of votes for Hartnel just shows the overwhelming take over by Philly fans.

I don't think it's a sign Philly fans are taking over.. just that people in general just like Scott Hartnell as a dude. He's a likeable guy.

Bubba88 04-26-2012 12:38 AM

It'll be Giroux...

Quite the curse.

No Fun Shogun 04-26-2012 01:54 PM

heh, don't get me wrong, love to see the pretty boy that makes the ladies swoon on the cover, but I'm not expecting it to happen.

xX Hot Fuss 04-28-2012 06:08 PM

I'm voting for SOD

RomersWorld* 04-29-2012 04:56 AM

Why the hell are TJ Oshie and David Perron being listed with these kinds of players? The two Blues players are the worst on the list. Their career highs in points are defenseman numbers. In fact, combine their career highs and they still don't equal Malkin's point total this year(and Malkin missed 7 games lmao). PK Subban doesn't belong either but Montreal has a ton of fans.

I'm pulling for Malkin to win it though. I'd bet $100+ that Giroux will win it though.

xX Hot Fuss 04-29-2012 09:05 AM

Oshie is a stud. Perron is really underrated too.

This X 6 figures.

Oshie knows where to put the puck, whether it be to a teammate's stick or nestle it in twine. And Backes: :amazed:

EA commercials promoting the anti-curse being on the game has

- Kane scores Cup winner
- Toews has career points high
- Stamkos hits 50

"Vote now! Give your team that extra edge!"

Madden is the curse, NHL is pretty good for the players

Yeap...exactly the point they're making.

They are also 50-60 point players. I'd love either one(even though Perron is a dbag) but they aren't anywhere near cover type athletes. I just found it interesting they were both St Louis players and not very deserving especially with so little choices.
