C'mon Abby. Should be a good series, likely to go 6 or 7 games.

Windstorm 04-28-2012 03:01 AM

I'm gonna go with Heat in six.

adsfan 04-28-2012 03:29 PM

I was hoping for Milwaukee against Rochester. Can you add a poll choice for a tie?:naughty:

MCaddd 04-29-2012 12:02 AM

Go Heat! Troy Ward is going to have his guys playing like a fine tuned machine. It's almost a blessing in disguise that the Marlies have home ice advantage because the Heat are a top-3 road team in the AHL, so I like their chances.

Heat in 5.

SFTC Addict 04-29-2012 03:12 AM

One Canadian team will be out regardless! :)

Tough call. The Coast to Coast trips. If Abbotsford wins 1 of the first 2 I could see them winning in 5.

No Fun Shogun 04-29-2012 02:02 PM

Tossup for me..... I'm gonna go and say Marlies in seven.

IceCapsFanNL 04-29-2012 08:11 PM

Hate the Marlies due to history, go Abby

Hope with the extra days they've had off that Reinhart has had more time to work with the team and we'll see more of him this series.

Tough to say. The only reason he played last game was because Ward didn't like how Aliu played the last game.

I'd like to see more of him. He's just so poised with the puck for a 20 year old, it's unbelievable.

Wait, Aliu was not liked by a team or coach? That hasn't happened before? :sarcasm:

This guy will be in Russia before too long...

SFTC Addict 05-01-2012 07:54 AM

saw Aliu play for the gwinnett Gladiators. So much talent but....such a waste.

Torts 05-01-2012 01:13 PM

does anyone know if Percy will be in the lineup tonight, im going to game and rly hope he's in. they just got blacker and lashoff back but would either put Percy out of the lineup???

Shrimper 05-01-2012 02:40 PM

Want Toronto to win so that when I'm on holiday in Toronto, I might be able to see a game.

raikk 05-01-2012 06:19 PM

is the game on TV in the greater Vancouver area?

Shrimper 05-01-2012 06:42 PM

Come on Toronto, need you to pull through so I can see a game!

Ward benches guys for bad games, he even made Kolanos as ahealthy scratch after a couple bad games, this is no different Ward has had nothing but praise for Aliu and likely just wants to send a message. The second he is unhappy with another player Aliu will be back in the lineup.

The Heat took a 1-0 series lead with a 3-1 win. Max Reinhart in his 3rd AHL game put up 1 goal and 1 assist.

The Hutch 05-02-2012 07:42 PM

This is a toss up. As a TML fan, I root for the Marlies. But as an Abbotsford citizen, I fully support the highest level of hockey that this city will ever see. The Heat are playing some of their best hockey in the club's short history, unbeaten in eleven games!

I'll be happy as can be if the Marlies win, but I would love it if the Heat moved on. Go Heat!

if you make it to some of the games I am sure I am speaking for many when I ask i f you could post your thoughts on both teams since it appears you are pretty impartial and your bias lies with both teams

I am really loving the Heat at the moment and I hope all Flames fans can get behind them.

I hope to make it once the series shifts over to Abbotsford. Was given tickets to the third and deciding game against Milwaukee in the opening round. The Admirals have some very nice looking uniforms.

It's such a different team when the Heat have all of their players, and aren't replacing Calgary's call ups with no-talent scrubs. Most of the games I went to this season were very one sided, as the lack of chemistry with the fill-ins really showed. But the best thing that the Flames did for the team was pick up players who can be counted on for offense at the AHL level, especially Clay Wilson and Ben Walter. The Heat did the rest, signing up quality AHL level players like Krys Kolanos and Hugh Jessiman. Kolanos' NHL prospects were ruined along with his hip, but at this level he's very effective in the offensive zone. Just so long as his cherry picking doesn't hamper the team on defense.

Rocko604 05-05-2012 02:54 AM

Won tickets for game 3. Looking forward to it!

Stats01 05-05-2012 11:40 PM

I guess not a very good outcome :p. Marlies win 4-1 to take a 2-1 series lead.

I was there as well, and was shocked at the poor turnout to the game tonight...just over 3000, and 500 of them were Leaf fans.

Was it only 500? Seemed like 2000.
