I think we need a list for Wild players/prospects who are participating.

Canada: Hackett (3rd goalie)
Finland: Koivu and Granlund
Germany: Endras
Sweden: Brodin and Larsson

Did I forget anybody or that's it?

If we're still counting Endras, he should be playing for Germany.

Ha, yeah.

Can't believe I forgot him.

Can't wait for the World Cup to be over, because then I won't have to do a facepalm every time someone asks why Granlund hasn't been signed yet.

Found this in a Swedish thread not sure how accurate it is but I havn't been able to find any links to roster updates for the team

Alfredsson - Zetterberg - Franzén
Stalberg - Krüger - Eriksson
Landeskog - Jarnkrok - Silfverberg
Zackrisson/Larsson - Lundqvist - Pettersson

Karlsson - Hjalmarsson
Kronwall - Ericsson
Hedman - Brodin

Anyone have reliable info on the team roster. Link? Also how did Klefbom do in the tryout assuming he was in the running as well?

According to aftonbladet, the roster is:

1. Jhonas Enroth
30 .Viktor Fasth
41. Christopher Nihlstorp

4. Staffan Kronwall
7. Niklas Kronwall
14. Mattias Ekholm
28. Jonas Brodin
44. Niklas Hjalmarsson
52. Jonathan Ericsson
65. Erik Karlson
77. Victor Hedman

10. Johan Larsson
11. Daniel Alfredson
12. Fredrik Pettersson
16. Calle Järnkrok
19. Patrik Zackrisson
20. Joel Lundqvist
21. Loui Eriksson
23. Niklas Persson
25. Viktor Stĺlberg
32. Marcus Krüger
33. Jakob Silfverberg
40. Henrik Zetterberg
92. Gabriel Landeskog
93. Johan Franzén

I have no idea about the lines, though.

I think Klefbom was injured.

usernam* 05-01-2012 02:59 PM

Wanting Sweden to win this year.

squidz* 05-01-2012 03:04 PM

Klefbom is injured and hasn't been a part of any of the team due to that injury.

elnewby 05-01-2012 03:17 PM

Slightly OT, but I noticed on twitter that Victor Hedman tweeted @Brodin25, not for sure if it's real, but if Hedman used it, it probably is.

It's worth noting that everything he says is in Swedish...

Generic User 05-01-2012 03:22 PM

Rooting for Sweden per usual. Looking forward to all the tire pumping regarding Brodin players like Zetterberg will be doing after the toruney.

BLBarmada 05-01-2012 05:20 PM

Canada's got this.

Good I don't like Oilers prospects doing well especially ones picked after ours.:sarcasm::sarcasm:

This. I'm already calling May 20th "Granlund Day" in my head

it's inevitable they do well. If Klefbom was in this he'd be getting top pairing minutes and play every second of every powerplay and penalty kill and score 3 points per game at least and win tournament MVP and everyone else is just jealous so shut up you're just ignorant.

Puhis 05-02-2012 12:36 PM

Pfft. Finland will win it. Again.

Being serious, Sweden, Canada and USA as well as Russia have tougher rosters than us. Well, so they did last year. It's gonna be good.

squidz* 05-02-2012 12:46 PM

A lot of Swedish posters seem to be doubting their team's strength a little this year.

Don't worry, Brodin will save them.

But we have Granlund.

Hmm. Brodin and Larsson vs Granlund and Koivu. One more thing to look forward to.

At least judging from claims and statements in the Team Sweden Roster thread, Larsson isn't expected to play, although he made the team.

BLBarmada 05-02-2012 04:14 PM

Larsson and Brodin were also supposed to be cut...

joe89 05-02-2012 04:53 PM

Larsson was practicing as extra D and wasn't on any of the four lines(without Alfie), so no it doesn't look like he will be playing. At least not to start the tournament. Brodin might still play on Friday though.

He'll probably get in there if Sweden has some bad games.

Fel 96 05-04-2012 01:41 AM
