2012-2013 Ticket Exchange Thread

Since STH renewals are in process and people are beginning to think about selling off games, I thought it's time to create a new Ticket Exchange thread for next season.

C&P from last year's:

IMPORTANT ADMIN NOTE & RULES REGARDING TICKET SALES:

1) As per HFboards rules, tickets may only be sold at or below face value.

"Face value" will be defined as the established and widely known single-game price for a corresponding ticket from the Sharks' box office, minus taxes and fees that are applied by said box office. You MAY reflect the price fluctuations as a result of the Sharks' dynamic pricing model in your resale value (eg for premium games you can charge the same premium price that the Sharks are charging, even if in this instance it does exceed face value). You may also charge to recover transaction fees such as those incurred by using paypal if the buyer agrees to those terms. You will not use these allowances as an excuse to extort a few unjustified extra bucks out of the buyer.

2) Post the asking price of your tickets in this thread. Failure to list your price in the post will result in its removal. "PM me/e-mail me for price info" is not acceptable. You must disclose the expected sale price publicly in this thread. You should also disclose the face value of the tickets if it differs from what you are asking. This is how we are tracking adherence to #1. Plus it makes more sense to let people decide if they want to go through the contact process only after they know if you're in their price range.

Anyone found selling tickets above face value will have their privileges to sell on the boards revoked. Repeated violations can be subject to more serious sanctions.

3) If you find anyone on here selling their tickets above face, please let a mod know. The face-value rule is really the only way we can allow tickets to be traded/exchanged/sold on here. If we (both as the Sharks board and HF on the whole) are found to be in violation of that rule it could threaten the ability to have this kind of thread at all, and I don't think anyone wants that. It is in everyone's best interests to ensure that the sales rules are strictly followed by all parties. I realize that might screw you out of getting tickets from someone, but consider what's the best thing for everyone: That you report someone who is scalping and we get to keep this thread? or that you keep quiet so you can get your tickets and then after the rules violations are found out this thread ends up getting closed down and ticket sales/exchanges are banned entirely? I certainly don't want to see the latter happening, and this isn't something that can be looked the other way on since it's potentially a legal issue for the site and not just a policy/conduct one.

Thanks everyone.

The friend sitting behind me - Sec 201, Row 14, Seats 5 & 6 - has decided not to renew his seats (and return back to Sec 209).

The seats are at center ice, the second row of the (now) $40 seats.

If anyone(s) are interested in these seats - whole, half, or quarter season (including playoff rights) paid upfront (before payments are due to the Sharks, May 28?) - let me know. If he has committed takers for all/most games, then he'll renew the seats.

For a full season taker, he may also be willing to use his STH priority (from season one in San Jose) to relocate to seats of their choice during Select-A-Seat.

Note: My seats (Sec 201, Row 13, Seats 3 & 4) are available for many games - allowing you to get 4 seats (near) together for some games.

Yes. The Sharks don't permit STH to change the official name on the STH account, but they do allow you to change the contact name & number - so the tix would officially remain in his name but the billing and tix would be sent to you (or at least c/o you at your address).

I may already have a taker for part of the season (1/4 to 1/2) - would you be interested in splitting the seats, if you don't expect to go to all 44 games?

Ah, I'm looking for a full season, mainly because I want full playoff tickets as well. But thanks anyways! Hopefully I'll luck out and find similar seats in that price range at my SAS appt. If not, I'm hoping at least to move closer in my section so I can feel somewhat better about my price increase

If we took 1/4 of the games, would it also be possible to get 1/4 (err, or something) of the playoff games?

I would assume so. It would be up to the parties splitting the tix to negotiate how the tix (including playoff rights) are split - my friend would be out of the picture and make no claim.

LadyStanley 05-16-2012 11:26 AM

Have a single in 201, row 13. $40 tickets.

Looking to sell some/most. (Or I won't renew the seat.)

I have folks I sit near that you might be able to get 1-2 extras for specific games.

(I think I won't make any Thursday games. No problem with giving up Saturday games.)

Hmm, I'll be too wishy-washy to decide in time for him I imagine, but it sounds like a good deal for someone looking for a partial season, good luck to him.

Instead I'll probably just try to buy a bunch off you during the season :)

Iron Chef 05-16-2012 11:32 AM

Just putting it out there that I anticipate selling many of my games as well. I'm currently in 205 Row 9 with 2 seats, but I'm looking to move to the $40 center ice seats, so I'll keep everyone posted.

I'll be doing my usual post-of-the-month club - although the aforementioned taker will be picking up a bunch of mine to get four (alomost) together. I may also be posting some of his pair in my posts.

X-mas time and last game of the season! (jk)

Definitely! My prices are never above my STH price, even for high demand games. I always go to the last game of the season, but X-Mas is yours so lets keep in touch when the schedule comes out and you can put in a claim :)

i might be interested in attending the home opener since I never do. And last year I had my dang 20 year high school reunion which was basically right down the street. wanted to leave so bad but was part of the committee.

This year I was going to do the San Jose Rock N Roll Half Marathon but said nah. forget it.

Yeah the fiancee might have some say about X-mas since we are trying to make both fams happy. But come on luv! It's HOCKEY! heh heh!

Anyone interested in quarter-season? (Sec 104 pair)

---see my post below, content changed following the lockout----

bproeder 05-25-2012 08:24 AM

I am looking for someone to split half or a portion of my 2 seats in Section 212 Row 3 (Sharks attack 2X and seats are unobstructed). My seats increased $3 per this season to $56 per seat which is not terrible, but I'm a little annoyed that the Sharks expect me to commit by next week.

The only thing I know other than the LA Kings are playing for the Cup is that DW is coming back. I don't know who the coach is, what the PK and PP philosophies will be, which players are coming or going etc. It's like buying a car without being able to see it or drive it.

That said, I am a hockey fan that still wants to see games live, but at a lower overall cost. I would be an easy ticket partner. I don't need to see all of the great teams and am flexible on nights of the week. I am also willing to come up with an amiable split on playoff tickets if the Sharks get there. If you have possible interest in a 50% or 33% share, PM me.

Hi Everyone,

I have two pairs of tickets available for most games this season.

Here are your two seating options…

Option 1:
Section 215, Row 12, Seats 1 and 2 - $59 Per Seat
http://www.seats3d.com/nhl/san_jose_sharks/?&pn=p_215_3
Section is center ice. These are aisle seats. Located just inside the blue line on the side the Sharks attack for two periods.

Option 2:
Section 216, Row 14, Seats 5 and 6 - $40 Per Seat
http://www.seats3d.com/nhl/san_jose_sharks/?&pn=p_216_4
Section is one off from center. Seats are located just outside the blue line on the side that the Sharks attack for one period.

I am waiting on some scheduling news from my work so I might be holding onto a few games until I hear from them. If that is the case I can put you down for them and let you know what happens. Send me a PM and let me know which games you are interested in and I will let you know what I have.

Thanks,
Derek

Now that the schedule is available I thought it was time to bump this thread up.

My quoted post still applies. I am going to give a few folks who showed interest before a few days to get back to me on if they still want some games but feel free to shoot me a PM with the games any of you are looking for.

Thanks,
Derek

Hey everyone! I'm looking for two tickets to the Phoenix game that's on Saturday, February 9th at 1pm. It's my birthday, and it's the first time in a long time the sharks are home on a Saturday, on my birthday, because of the stupid Tennis tour that usually takes over HP Pavilion. Please PM me if have some to get rid of. Thanks!

Lareves 01-13-2013 07:16 PM

I'm trying to get a few buddy's into hockey and would love to bring them to a game, I'd like to do it all at once since we live in Reno and that's quite a drive!

So I'm hoping to find 4 tickets together for a Saturday game for under 50 a ticket. can go a bit higher I guess if I cant find that.
