Synergy EQ5 or Stealth S17?

Do you think the Synergy EQ5 or the Stealth S17 skate would be a significant upgrade to the Graf 703 Toplights I currently use? Can't beat the price right now. I like the Grafs but wonder about a lighter composite skate? I'm 56 years old and just went for the first time from wood in a Sherwood 5030 to a CCM u+pro and I have to say ... holy crap what a difference!

I can still play. Would these skates make a noticeable difference or just keep the Grafs?

Yes, they would. Lighter, more responsive. Grafs are nice skates for durability and they'll always have a model to fit, but they're heavy and lack the responsiveness of modern composite skates.

Thanks! Time to break out the Mastercard I guess.

I just wanted to throw in that I have the EQ5s and absolutely love them. The fit (for me, anyways) was similar-ish to the 703s I tried on. I got my EQ5s for like $250 or so. They have been a great skate for me - they were $700 only 12 months ago.
