Any chance he comes back to the Rangers organization in some capacity?? Back to broadcasting maybe???

Cmox 05-25-2012 11:34 AM

I would love for JD to come back. Assistant coach!

Fire Sather 05-25-2012 11:36 AM

Not many things in this world would give me more joy than JD coming back into the booth with Sam.

WhipNash27 05-25-2012 11:37 AM

Assistant to the Assistant to the GM and broadcaster ;)

I don't really have much problem with him, but yeah he would have to go and thats probably wrong, so we won't see JD back.

Ih8theislanders 05-25-2012 11:42 AM

I'd love for him to be back in the organization at any capacity.

Lol. I guess I would take him out. You think MSG would take him out of the booth?

Fire Sather 05-25-2012 11:59 AM

I can't see them getting rid of Joe now that he's basically become a household name. Would love to have JD back though.

GeorgeHamiltonsTan 05-25-2012 12:07 PM

a household name? really?

New York RKY 05-25-2012 12:11 PM

Yes, for Rangers fans that have listened to him for 4+ years I'd say he's a household name now.

evilllempire* 05-25-2012 12:14 PM

i love JD....would love to have him back in the Organization in some capacity!! Not a huge fan of Micheletti.....he's OK, but he's no JD:nod:

RangersFan 05-25-2012 12:21 PM

bring him back in whatever capacity he wants. he'll do a great job anywhere in the organization.

h0ckeyman 05-25-2012 12:27 PM

I would get rid of Joe for JD in a heartbeat

ecemleafs 05-25-2012 12:32 PM

i doubt they replace a young commentator when his partner, however loved, is 65 years old now.

WhipNash27 05-25-2012 12:40 PM

Joe's only 2 years younger than JD.

Tikkanen10fan 05-25-2012 12:58 PM

i would retire at 65. i miss him though.

Mind = Blown.

I don't see JD taking Joe's spot unless JD asks for it, and I don't see JD doing that. Would love to have him back in the organization in a front office role though.

"once a Ranger, always a Ranger"

even Eric Cairns and Rich Pilon?

Brick Top 05-25-2012 01:21 PM

I live in Michigan now but when I visited my folks in Syracuse, I loved catching Rangers games on MSG with Rosen and Davidson in the booth-those guys have fantastic deliveries and chemistry. Compared to the Wings announcers on FSDetroit (who aren't terrible), I'd take Sam and JD all day.
