Who are the good Wild hitters?
 

If you exclude Clutterbuck, of course... since Clutterbuck is by far the best Wild hitter. But there has to be a good hitter on that team not called Clutterbuck!

Upcoming hitters will probably be Bulmer and Coyle.

I mean stylistically also. There may be those players who don't hit much but, when they do hit, they can land a big hit.

Then, is Setoguchi a good hitter?

No one on defense, possible Larsson, Bulmer, Coyle on forward but we're a very unphysical team and a very soft team.

I'd love to see Bulmer and Clutter on the same line.. until one of them gets cheap shotted and shanatard does nothing

Koivu enjoys the occasional exploding shoulder hit. Those are quite entertaining.

Obviously Clutterbuck.

Kassian, Powe, and Bulmer are the second tier in the hits department.

Yeah, Koivu's exploding shoulder is pretty vicious.

Other than that, we have some hitters in the pipeline that others have mentioned.

Latendresse, when he's playing, can throw his weight around pretty well.

Yeah Lats and Stoner can play a little physical, but nobody aside from Clutter is running around laying hits.

Koivu isn't terribly physical. If someone gets in his way and he's engaged, he'll lay a pretty good hit. He's strong as hell but usually he's not trying to play that style of hockey.

Falk has knocked a couple guys around when he wanted too.

Yeah, I remember his huge hit on Perron this season.

As he should be able to with his size.

IIRC, this is actually precisely how Lats re-aggravated his concussion.

I thought he took a couple big hits as well. But Lats isn't regularly running around and hitting guys. Just that one game.

Like Koivu's one hit on Kronwall, and now everyone's talking about how he has an exploding shoulder.

Yup and it was against the Hawks.

He definitely got the original concussion from being hit, but I think he said he noticed the recurring symptoms after he threw a big shoulder check (I think against WPG? not positive) and got a little whiplash.

He threw another exploding shoulder towards the end of the season too. It wasn't as effective, but it was still pretty cool. :P

Due to the amount of concussions and malicious hits we took this year I would say we are definitely one of the softest teams in the West. Why would anyone be afraid to go around hitting our players? When Kassian wasn't playing it was a free for all

I thought most people were saying this as a tongue-in-cheek comment.. at least I was. It was a healthy backcheck and Detroit fans were screaming bloody murder about how he should be suspended for his "exploding shoulder" cheapshot.

I am not that daft. I know Koivu isn't a big hitter.
