Part V | Marlies vs Admirals | Marlies done.

Lets hope that kadri comes back man and zigo returns asap.

Liminality 06-01-2012 09:39 PM

I'm also very happy D'amigo did not get injured on that play with the hit to the head, looked like it could have been serious.

Cannot suffer any more injuries.

LeafsMonster 06-01-2012 09:40 PM

Don't have higher hopes if kadri or ziggy come back. They can't carry the team, but they will make the team MUCH better. However, i think many people are underestimating the current marlies roster. This game is like a trial run, they played together for the first time. Even norfolk didnt play that well. They are the highest scoring team and yet we limited them to 2
goals + 1 EN. This roster can still do a lot.

Leaf Rocket 06-01-2012 09:41 PM

Agreed but the admirals definitely was the toughest opponent we've had.

That was a tough game but we'll get on the next one.

Like I said in GDT get Orr and Rosehill out.

With Kadri and Frattin out we can't afford to only have 9 (productive)forwards out there. One of Mckegg or Abbot may provide more scoring pop and definitely help out on the PP.

Leafidelity 06-01-2012 09:47 PM

Absolutely no reason to be dressing either of Orr and Rosehill for the finals. As shown tonight, nobody is going to bother messing with them. Lebrie was chirping them but ultimately took his fist sandwiches from Fraser.

To be honest I expected more from Norfolk. This is an extremely depleted Marlies roster and they hung with them right to the end.

Marcel Cousineau 06-01-2012 09:54 PM

0/10 on the PP geeeeeeeeeeeeeeze

And 42-24 shots in favor of Norfolk? This is gearing up to be an odd-man slugfest. Marlies NEED to cut down on opponent shots & start to use the PP which has been lethal against the previous opponents.

And the game you don't dress them is when Picard and Lebrie really start getting out of hand

Fraser seems like a capable fighter, and the Marlies are a much bigger team. Having more options on the PP tonight could have been the difference.

maplehawk 06-01-2012 10:02 PM

what happened to mckegg getting a shot?

Yea and I agree with rare jewel that orr and rosie should just quit.

mueller should go then because he was horrendous tonight.

TMLeafer 06-01-2012 10:11 PM

That PP needs some work.

I'd concur with this.

He's making me wonder if he's even worth qualifying as a RFA. Right now I'd say no actually.

DirtyDion03 06-01-2012 10:12 PM

Rough game. Could be from the lay off. This series is very chippy though. Marlies need to keep being disciplined and letting Norfolk take those retaliation penalties.

He hasn't lived up to the way he was touted, unfortunately. He goes on good streaks and then stops.

R3g0rZ 06-01-2012 10:16 PM

Does anyone know Kadri's status? It would be nice to have his talents for the finals.

All because of one game... He's a great player for this team and has earned his spot.

Erza Scarlet 06-01-2012 10:30 PM

I don't like the fact how we always back off, never pressing the play ever. It was like this during the Edmonton series as well.

Happy Fan 06-01-2012 10:37 PM

Now everybodys missing my noy 'adri, feels bittersweet man. He better come back! He must!

It's not just one game, I've seen him though out the year. The one thing that doesn't do is use his body(which is 6'4 232 btw) assertively or effectively enough.

Also in terms of our LW prospects D'amigo and Deschamps have both pass him IMO and Ross is on the way.

Antropovsky 06-02-2012 12:28 AM

Man I hate not having Kadri & Frattin. Frattin IMO is the best player on either team.

Conacher gives him a run for his money, but I'd agree with him being the best on the marlies...oh well, no point crying over spilt milk

I don't like the idea of scratching both orr and rosehill...if anything I'd just try scratching one of them..maybe a fourth line of abbott/mckegg/orr for next game?

Engel I like a lot as a d-man but as a forward he's invisible..
