Beside the First round who else do you think the flames maybe able to pick in the draft.

I hardly know of anyone ranked in the later rounds. I might know more players in the 2013 draft TBH. This year seems really light, and what's worse is that it seems to drop off substantially right before Calgary picks.

I'm hoping though that Radek Faksa falls to us in the 1st. Or Olli Maatta. I'm really hoping for one of those two.

From what Feaster was saying we won't lose any picks whatsoever and may just pick up a couple more!! Very exciting draft day coming up!!!

I'm hoping we can snag Martin Frik (sp?) in the third round. He had some injury issues and consistency problems, but he's got 1st round talent. Someone else will probably see that in the second round though. Some of the mid-late round flyers I would like to see are: Mitch Moroz, Jarrod Maidens, Reese Willcox, Graham Black, Myles Bell and Justin Hickman. Particularly Maidens and Moroz.

Feaster missed the boat to do that at last years deadline. Like you, I'm not expecting him to get anymore draft picks because we have no assets to deal. Unless he is able move a Babchuk or Stajan. Trading Comeau's rights may be a possibility to, but I doubt anyone is interested. I really wish we had a 2nd round pick this year.

I don't mind not having a second as I think Ramo is worth it and last year he got us 2 second round picks and all we lost was a fifth.

With all the buzz that Staal is now generating, I doubt Bouwmeester is what Pens fans are interested in.

Hopefully Shero sees it differently.

I doubt Pittsburgh accepts that trade, as they value Staal as a #1 center, or so it seems. And Boumeester isn't a #1 defenseman, BUT Pittsburgh could be a place where Boumeester could excel in.

I wouldn't trade Bouwmeester for Staal. Bouwmeester is proven to be a top pairing defenseman, Staal hasn't proved he can be a first liner.

Giordano+ maybe, but not Bouwmeester

No question he did well, I just think he could of nabbed a good player in the 2nd round of this years draft.

I would deal Bouwmeester for Staal. Staal, at the very least, is a top-2 centre. His contract this year and his next contract likely will be lower than Bouwmeester's $6.68M cap hit, so there's a saving there as well.

Keep in mind that Bouwmeester's value is reduced since he's overpaid for his production. And in this day of the salary cap, this is a key consideration.

Yea there are some pretty good players in the second round most years but I don't see this as being as good as some previous ones. Also I think there is a chance we could get a second as Feaster has said he wants a pick in every round and so far he has kept his word.

Ok this is my first post here so bare with me. First off I work in a media organization in Calgary with some sports affiliation, one of my sources told me, the best bet this year is... If Detroit doesn't win the Suter or Webber sweepstakes, look for them to go after Bouwmeester.

It makes sense on paper as Jbow plays alot like Lidstrom did but I don't see them being good trading partners.

There's a lot of players who were thought to be first rounders early in the season only to fall into the 2nd or 3rd round due to other players rising, injuries etc. Always an opportunity for a potential steal.

Really you wouldnt trade bow for staal? i dont care who it costs us between gio or bow i trade for staal in a heart beat

Frk will be and early 2nd rounder. Should go anywhere from 30-40

I personally think Staal is the most overrated player in the NHL.

It makes sense from a logical standpoint, I still don't think the topic has much legs though at this point because it is pure speculation. The same could be said about lots of teams regarding lots of players.

If Suter stays in NSH, Weber will stay as well. If that happens I could see the Wings making a play for JBo.

Wow. I just don't know about you sometimes.

He is very possibly the most underrated player because he plays on a team with the 2 best centers arguably in the NHL today.
